Manage the workflow and keep the morale of the people up, your every decision will add or remove Hope, and or Discontent. Be very careful with how hard you push your people because too much Discontent and they will toss you out to the cold. the Building revolves around the generator, literally. Your grid is a circular area that spans outward from the generator, and each building takes up a small slice of each circle. The game will also press you with moral dilemmas, each of which will be met with hope or discontent and sometimes a bit of both depending on your decisions. Will you incite child labour, how will you tend the sick, how will you take care of amputees? Frostpunk is a nails hard game and will press your strategic mind to its fringes. Frostpunk is an incredible strategy game, and I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys city-survival style games and best of all this amazing game is now available for your Xbox One!… Expand

    Moué, pas terrible ce jeu de survie dans le grand refroidissement climatique... pas terrible du tout, voire carrément à chier en fait. L'interface générale est mal faite, la confusion règne de façon alarmante et désastreuse et l'ennui s'installe un peu trop vite...

    Déjà que c'est pas très crédible de toute façon, voire carrément ridicule en fait, même sous un vague prétexte SF non    Moué, pas terrible ce jeu de survie dans le grand refroidissement climatique... pas terrible du tout, voire carrément à chier en fait. On a ici que des scénarios et pas de vrai mode bac à sable, le jeu n'ayant de toute manière pas les moyens de proposer ce mode correctement en raison de sa pauvreté.

    Je me suis donc emmerdé plein pot alors que la musique fait couiner un vieux violoncelle qu'on a envie tout de suite d'étrangler... puis j'ai satellisé cette centrale au charbon (non mais du charbon... hein quoi ? non mais allo quoi...!) dans la poubelle la plus proche.    … Expand

    I think this game deserves an 8 but nothing more where you rate a game like This War of Mine with 10.
    The 11 Bit Studios could get another 10, only if they could extend the building and technology trees in the game.

    Frost Punk is a city-builder and society simulator. It is a tense, gripping, and often stressful survived game filled with difficult, sometimes unthinkable choices.
    In Frost Punk the entire world has become a sub-zero arctic wasteland. After fleeing London only hope for survival, you and a few dozen followers end up at a massive coal furnace standing in the center of a crater. You will build a small city that huddled around the coal furnace for warmth and you do resource gathering. You must keep an eye on the tiny meters at the top of the screen to know how much wood, coal, and food are left and how long it will last. You must keep everyone warm in these sub-zero temperatures.
    Frost Punk is the kind of game that you have patience. I like all the details, description, survival facts, and strategy. No one is safe from working in these freezing temperatures even children must lend a helping hand.
    The controls and game play are complex, a little hard to understand at first. Audio is well and good for the condition you are in. I have seen someone play “Oxygen Not Included” this feels like a rip off of it.

    Overall I would say that Frost Punk is a well game and you catch on after learning all of the basics. The graphics are good and in fine detail. I enjoy other games with the same gameplay, trying to survive. I give this game 8.5/10 It’s a city-building survival strategy game set in a frozen world. It’s tough to play but even tougher to stop. I was hoping it would have some kind of map editor that would allow for many different scenarios requiring different approaches to survival.     FrostPunk is a SimCity/survival game with a very tense atmosphere. My first game from this developer and I'm really satisfied.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Frostpunk is a very strategic take on your typical city building sim. Very very challenging and dark. It forces you to think very hard before each move you make, resources are very limited and will continue to be throughout the entire game so you must balance them very carefully. Each resource is vitally important however I would argue that wood and coal are the most essential, steel doesn’t become as prominent until mid game and I never seemed to have much trouble gathering raw food. Coal is required to power your generators which keep your people from freezing to death and the longer the game goes on the colder it gets which in turn means you have to draw more and more from your generator which costs more coal. It’s very aesthetically pleasing, the story is very gripping and engaging and every law has its benefits and negatives which will force you to make tough decisions for the greater good. Once you hit a point where your people begin dying off everything spirals out of control from there and it can be very challenging to get out of that death spiral. The downsides are that the learning curve can be very steep as the game doesn’t do a very good job of explaining to you which structures do which tasks and which ones do which job better so you have to learn via trial and error and the main campaign is rather short. I’ve very much enjoyed my time with frostpunk and would highly recommend it to anyone who considers themselves to be a respectable city builder or strategist and is up for a nice challenge.… Expand

    Played for free on XBox Game Pass. Not for me. Didn't enjoy the game one bit.. Difficult to understand the UI and gameplay mechanisms.

    Good game at first and was totally engrossed. But has a faulty save system where you could lose many hours of progress... be warned.

    On the other hand, the control on the pad is slightly less intuitive than using a normal mouse on a PC

Вот поляки из 11 bit studios, как по мне, прекрасно справились с задачей переноса своего детища на приставки текущего поколения. Итак, о Frostpunk поподробнее. Наша главная миссия в игре выжить в условиях суровых морозов. Существуем мы в альтернативной реальности в 1886 году где солнце постепенно затухает и мир погружается в вечную зиму. Вокруг сердца города - огромного генератора, работающего на угле и соответственно согревающего людей и дающего тепло и энергию всем постройкам, возводим город. Видов ресурсов у нас немного - это уголь, древесина, сталь, сырая еда, пищевые пайки и паровые ядра. Главные для выживания ресурсы это конечно уголь для поддержания необходимого тепла и пищевые пайки, которые изготавливаются из сырой пищи, для того, чтобы наши горожане были всегда сыты. Прочие ресурсы необходимы для строительства всевозможных зданий, изучения новшеств и экспедиций. Помимо всего прочего необходимо следить за шкалой недовольства и надежды, каждая из них очень важна, так как в случае накопившегося недовольства или полностью угасшей надежды нас незамедлительно выставляют на мороз, после чего все придётся начинать сначала. Воздействуем на наших жителей прежде всего за счёт удовлетворения текущих нужд и принятия законов. Очень рекомендую начать играть для начала в бесконечном режиме, который не так суров к игроку и дает возможность понять все нюансы, ибо сюжетная часть весьма беспощадна и не терпит ошибок, исправить их будет очень сложно. В Frostpunk присутствуют четыре сценария: Новый дом - основная большая сюжетная ветка, Ковчеги, Беженцы и Падение Винтерхоума. Каждая история ставит перед нами свои задачи и в общем и целом они достаточно разные. Если в Новом доме мы с нуля отстраиваем город и готовимся к грандиозной буре, которую соответственно надо пережить. Хотя надо ещё до этой самой бури дожить, а это, скажу я вам, весьма и весьма непросто в виду постоянно валящихся проблем, с которыми едва успеваешь справляться как на очереди их уже вдвое больше. В кампании Ковчеги, к слову, самой миролюбивой к игроку, кажется это единственная кампания, где у меня никто не умер, нам необходимо поддерживать определенную температуру в трёх оранжереях, где хранятся чуть ли не последние на земле растения и семена. Это великолепный градостроительный симулятор со своей тяжелой и захватывающей историей. Бесповоротные рекомендации для тех кто понимает.… Expand

    Frostpunk on consoles is as good as the PC version, and this definitely is a great news for everyone who loves strategy and survival games. Just don't expect it to be a regular city builder.

    Frostpunk is another incredible title from 11 Bit Studios, and an utter triumph for the genre. It’s an incredibly unique and engaging deep dive into the bowels of the icy tundra, a textbook example of emotional storytelling through gameplay. If you can stomach it and face the cold, Frostpunk is an experience you will likely never forget.
