If I reviewed the game on release day I would have gave it a 4/10 because it felt weird, like a step back. But now I'm gonna give it a 8/10. In fact, a 10/10 to counter act all the bad reviews and even it out a bit. I'm really enjoying this game now. However they could have done a lot more with career mode which I'm disappointed with. And by the way....I played Fifa 14 again yesterday to compare it, it felt a lot more robotic and programmed. Fifa 15 has a lot more freedom with the ball and there's more variations of passes, ways you can score goals, and defending. The goalkeepers are much more realistic. Again, fifa 14 felt programmed like the keepers had set limits. In fifa 15 the keepers surprise you with outstanding saves which happens in real life too. You can also send the keeper the wrong way which is a plus compared to fifa 14 where the keepers were magnets and always managed to guess the right direction. All in all its a much better game. Everything has either improved, or kept the same. They haven't taken any steps back Expand

This is by far the best version of FIFA EA has ever made. It's a significant upgrade from last year with tighter passing, tighter dribbling, better graphics, realism in the Premier League consisting of dead on stadiums, including the chants from each specific stadia, and realistic looking player models. FIFA 15 is easily one of the 3 best games of the year, and a must play.

Lol at all the people giving it 0 and claiming to be good then complaining about not being able to defend and that defending is broken in Fifa 15.

Defending is different in Fifa 15, maybe learn how to do it before complaining that it's broken. The game is awesome, dangerous players like Ronaldo and bale and Suarez etc can now go on long dangerous runs more easily thanks to the TOUGHER

So far, this is the best FIFA to date. The gameplay mechanics are fluid and the graphics are nice. I only have a few complaints:

    4. There's hardly a method to bringing air balls down - you can only head it or let the defender take it away, those are your only options.
    5. No more custom set pieces

This FIFA game is currently my favorite game to play. If EA can just address these issues going forward, then it will be a practically flawless game. Can't wait for FIFA 16.

It has a lot of teams, good graphics, good replays and good commentators. Also the online mod is very good!

I just think that the famous ULTIMATE TEAM is so bad, for me it's boring and unnecessary. However, also is another way to play.
And the best of all, it has an amazing gameplay! You can play easily and if you want to be like a real player, you can learn a lot of movements, which really are a lot!

My favorite FIFA game yet, graphics are phenomenal, game play is near perfect. Some slight annoyances with goalies rarely, but otherwise basically perfect in my opinion. (I mostly play be a pro and that's it however) so take this with a grain of salt.

My first time ever playing a soccer video game, and it was easy to learn and evolve into higher level games. Ultimate team is awesome. Obviously it would be nice if EA cut down on the micro transactions, but everything else about this game got me addicted. The graphics look nice and the commentators get me laughing sometimes. All in all this is good fun.

I've been playing the Fifa franchise for years and think they have made some nice improvements to make the game more exciting and fun to play. They have taken a great game and added numerous mode back into a game that was already the best soccer sim out there. The attention to detail in incredible. Bravo to EA on a job well done!

I've been a Fifa fan for a long time, its hard for EA to make significant changes each year. There is a fine balance between not making enough changes, keeping the experience fairly similar to the year before and making a complete overhaul and potentially ruining the great game they already had. I feel like FIFA 15 rides the line perfectly.

Overall it's a solid game (offline) but I detest any type of "pay-to-win" tactics and sadly, if your willing to pay (in the form of buying tokens) then you can build a super team in minutes.
They've also included an online auction house where you can auction off unwanted players from your team. This along with some slow paced cut scenes during gameplay (such as waiting for the opposing team to throw the damn ball out for the game to resume). I like it, I recommend it, and I'm not making any comparisons to last years edition. Check out the demo.

Firstly the 'slide shot' when a player lunges for the ball and gets a toe on it and from absolutely nowhere it gets so much power into the top corner.

No fifa/EA.. this is not realistic..

and secondly the decision making. playing fifa regularly I have been slide tackled from behind in the penalty box and nothing given even when they have not won the ball, yet I shoulder barge a player on the edge of the box and its a red card and a free kick. how can you justify these awful decisions. alongside this is the "last man" rule. if I am correct, a player who performs a last man tackle (not winning the ball) and denies a goal scoring opportunity is a straight red card, which in previous fifas they have managed to perform adequately, but in this one its usually a yellow card or nothing at all. especially in the penalty box.
but to end on a positive, purely because I enjoy fifa and I think besides the slight (yet VERY IMPORTANT) errors, it's still an enjoyable game which can be enjoyed by all.

The little aesthetic differences to the environment are impressive.

Dribbling is important again, which is a relief. Time after time on FIFA 14 you'd get in to great positions to buy yourself a yard and whip a cross in, only to lose acceleration completely and lose the ball. But on FIFA 15 you can get yourself that yard, you can leave defenders for dead and you can score solo goals again. The arcade feeling has returned, surrounded by this hi-tech universe EA have invented.

The speed of the game is a little unrealistic - but at the end of the day, this is a football game and not a football match. But what good is all of that when FIFA 15 presents its problems before you work out its treasures?

In the end, FIFA hasn't really been the same since they introduced Tactical Defending. I'm not saying that was the root cause of what we're playing now, but it gave EA the temptation to bite off more than they could chew with regards to altering aspects of the game completely when they only needed little tweaks.

And the Next Gen goalkeepers are yet more evidence of this. What good are the fantastic new tactical choices of All Out Attack and Park the Bus if they don't lead to goals because there's a superhero stood in front of goal? I've played around 10-15 games on this and I'm certain the goalkeeper has been the highest rated player in every single one of them.

It takes me 20 shots on target on professional - PROFESSIONAL - to score 2 goals. I'd bump it up to World Class like usual but I know I'd be on the end of 4-0/5-0 scorelines because the defending from the team I'm controlling is so loose. Pace and trickery can slice open my defence with ease, and my goalkeeper pales in comparison to the one stood at the opposite end. Why?

I've given this a 7 for now because my problems will all be sorted by November when the first patch comes out - but I'm annoyed at EA for releasing a game in this condition. It still feels like a demo because of the amount of improvement work that needs to take place and I'm currently battering Everton 3-0 with West Brom because I know I'll be on the end of a cricket score if I bump it up to World Class.

    I await the patch.

This is a review of Pro Clubs. All other game modes deserve a 0 rating.

The added "reserve position" ability while a game is in progress is the highlight this year. No other changes to be heard of. Gameplay and servers seem to be fine.

Pro Clubs still doesn't have custom kits. The feeling of neglect to this game mode is still present.

FIFA 15 is a huge improvement from FIFA 14, from visuals to the play on the pitch, it all feels better, smoother and more like an actual game of football and not a track race. Though pace is still important, it's not all a player will need to good in this game. A strong player will bully a pacey / weak player off the ball, but if the pacey player has good dribbling and ball control then the strong player is **** You can still bomb it down the wings and cross balls in, but it doesn't work as well as it has before because the defenders will get the ball most of the time. Though short players / weak players can still score headers, it doesn't feel over powered as it has before, because in the replay you can see the defender jumped too early or too late, or simply just slagged off the man and he crept in and scored. The product on the pitch is well done as I've written so far already. The crowds in the BPL are amazing the sing the correct songs for each team. I've been playing as Spurs and hearing the crowd Yell COME ON YOU SPURS over and over is amazing. The living pitch that they've added is incredible, from slide tackles to hard shots that take a chunk out of the pitch, it's all there and it stays there. I like how the pitch deteriorates over the time of the game. Now to the issues with the game and oh boy where to begin. From the game crashing to glitched player potentials it's all there. I've had this game crash on me more times than i care to count at this point. When the games crashes on me, every time it happens I have to accept to terms of use again and go through the rewards screen. Not sure if that's happened to anyone else but it happens to me. At least the game auto saves when you make changes and so on, so far I haven't lost any progress in my career but that could change. Now on to my biggest issue with this game the one that makes me want to take the disk out of the console and throw it in the trash. As you progress further and further into your career the game gets slower and slower, not on the pitch and I'm not talking about transactions, I'm talking about how long the game takes to load or do anything. You sim a match, make a change to the squad, search for a player, it takes about 10-30 seconds before I can move in the menu. First season is fine no problems but as I've gotten further on it just gets worse and worse. I've tried all the fixes from disabling my internet connection on my Xbox to turning off UPnP in my router nothing has worked. Also before you go thinking this is a Xbox One issue, think again because I have this game on PS4 as well and same thing. So to wrap up the game is good, there are a ton of improvements from visuals to gameplay and presentation, but the technical issues is what plagues this game. As of writing this there have been no patches to deal with the issues I've stated. Expand
