Ultimate team is a fun idea and working while not playing matches. EA likes to work with a sort of handicap system that makes players sometimes more unresponsive and slow than in other matches. Pushing the sprint won't work, I can't RUN! This happens especially when you are on the urge to promote. Complete nonsense. Maybe if I buy Ronaldo or a legend for a couple of million. Will it be better then? That's the question EA wants you to ask. It's all about the MONEY. And people playing with Walcott who is going faster than the speed of light, it's just unrealistic. It's defendable, but also complete nonsense. No EA, I'm having real trouble to trust in a good Fifa 16. Expand

The game is still highly scripted, where defenders will make last gasp clearances that drop straight to their striker's feet in acres of space, and League 2 teams pass the ball around like Barcelona. In PvP the 'lobbed through-ball' is ridiculously overpowered and impossible to defend, and players can still make supidly accurate passes from impossible positions - you can face your own goal in your own penalty area and play a 100% accurate 70 yard pass to a striker who again is in acres of space. Attacking consists solely of 'play up the middle to a striker (who will always be in acres of space), play a 1-2 with your other striker, play a lobbed through ball and score one on one. Dribbling is also way overpowered, with average players easily humiliating world class defenders. Defending feels like trying to block a rocket launcher with a sponge.
I still give this a 6 as the presentation is excellent, with realistic commentary and visuals, and the player liknesses are the best yet. it feels slick and Ultimate Team is an addicitive and fun game mode. But until the above issues are sorted it will never score any higher in my books

Some of the latest FIFA also has no great novelties. The goalkeeping think rotten, but I must point out that the game has become more beautiful. However, the game is still good, but now I really have zero innovation.

DO NOT BUY, seriously DON'T, Ive been playing fifa since fifa 07 and I can say without a doubt this is the WORST fifa I have ever played, the word scripted doesn't even do it any justice, it's an absolute joke. It is somewhat entertaining when the game is pulling for you, but when it's not it the most ridiculous, frustrating pile of garbage Ive ever played. The penalty system: Im not sure if you can call it a penalty system, granted the penalty system has always been a little iffy in FIFA games and they make so much money they don't care to fix it, but they just took it to a whole new level in this one, If I had a nickel for the number of times Ive been just destroyed in the box without the guy even being near the ball Id have a million dollars (otherwise know as almost enough to pack a good player in ultimate team). The handball system: It doesn't exist, not a joke, It literally doesn't, people can just swat the ball and get away with it. The stupid EA boosting system: you know the feeling of buying a 93 overall team of the season Diego Costa with pretty much 99 strength and then having him be outrun and pushed over like a lamp by a silver card?? I certainly do, when the game wants the other team to score the game just becomes completely unfun, your 90 passing fabregas will miss 19 4 foot passes in a row and the ball will go directly to the other team, your 90 overall ibra (with hunter) will miss every single shot he takes, even from 2 feet out, BUT WAIT that's not even the worst part, the worst part is how they boost the other team, have you ever seen tony kroos outrun jordi alba?? well I have! because it happens every game, when the game decides to do so, it just give the entire opposing team 99 pac 99 dribbling 99passing and 99 physical, it's really fun having IF walcott (99 pace with chemistry style) get chased down by john terry (like 40 pace or something terrible) and having him slide through both of your legs (without a penalty) have the ball stick to his foot, and he gets up before your guy, who is 2 feet away, can get the ball. The AI system: now this is very confusing to me, because they obviously know how to design AI's because the opposing team will always play the most amazing defense Ive ever seen in my entire life, no matter how good their players are, or how good yours are, BUT your defensive AI is best at staring at the ball ass it goes right by their feet or head and straight to the other team for an easy goal, how after 20 years of making this game your players still will never play defense unless your controlling them. The passing system: horrible....just horrible, it seems like they made it so that your guy automatically aims for the guy 70 yards away covered by 6 people instead of the 3 guys who are right in front of you wide open, it's the worst passing system of any fifa Ive ever played, ESPECIALLY when ea starts pulling for the other team, then your guys will literally just kick it to the opposite team. The Ultimate Team: let me sum it up for you quickly, Pace is the only stat that matters, and you need at least $200 if you want to pack anybody actually worth anything. I know there's more terrible things Im forgetting but you get the idea, its so super scripted and awful that everytime I play it ends with me screaming at my players because they can't complete a simple pass, or make a goal from 2 feet out, or the other team just fouls you every time you get the ball but get away with it because of the penalty system. I really can't stress how bad this game is, DO NOT BUY IT I'm saving you money and a lot of frustration, jus tog buy FIFA 14! It has a lot less problems AND you get the world cup add on FREE! Where you can actually get all of those player you wanted in regular ultimate team (ronaldo, messi, 90 ovr neymar, and plenty of other amazing players, plus it probably only costs like 10 bucks at this point which means you wont be giving as much money to a horrible bloated jackass of a company (EA) which makes us all happy.

So to sum it all up DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, I don't care what the other reviews say (though im sure theyre mostly negative) it is not even worth 5 dollars, I have been playing FIFA games for almost 10 years and this game makes me want to switch to PES, and that's not something I thought I would ever say.

I play defense slowly, rarely using the sprint button and instead counting on positioning to make a tackle. I have found this to save fitness points, especially for my top talent, but is increasingly difficult to pull off when I feel the need to constantly chase down defenders that dribble all the way up the field because I have cut off all of the primary passing lanes.

    other bad notables:
-Bland commentary (no Ray 'majesterial' Hudson)
-Keepers are much better.. making it harder to score
-can't search for stadiums by league or team in FUT

    The good:
Excellent atmosphere. The sensation of making the stand shake never gets old.
If you like cut scenes and over dramatization, this is for you. The good thing is you can still skip through them.

    For the businessman:
The transfer market is still in its infancy. Don't overspend on a player. Use the 'compare prices' and see what the 'buy it now' price is before bidding up a player. Also, there are deals to be made. I used to sell silver contracts for 650 with a buy it now of 750 in FIFA 13. They are now going for 150 over and over again. Snatch these up early and often as you will need them greatly down the road for your players.. or you can stash them and make a nice buy-low, sell-high gain on them in a few weeks/months. Lots of people look at Gold consumables and deals can be had on Silver because of it.

Feature number one being 'Next Generation' Goalkeepers that are not in the game, They are broken and unresponsive and expect the players to just sit back and accept this. It is completely unacceptable that this game be released with one of the most important parts being completely unreliable and broken.

Next is the frame rate even on the Xbox One the game runs just above average with frames in some game modes dropping to at least 20-25fps which for a game that relies on speed and precision isn't going to work at all.

The game is too highly paced it's incredibly unrealistic and offers little to zero skill to be good at the game.

Broken defending, The defending is near broken it's almost impossible to stop players on the attack if they have even the slightest bit of pace, It's unresponsive and sluggish with no options to break down an attacker.

I myself am a seasoned FIFA player, I've been through the ups and downs of the game and this has to be the lowest point of the games history.

I just don't understand how EA can continue to destroy such a popular title.

Avoid at all costs and stick to last years FIFA it's the closest you'll get to a realistic simluation of football.

The reality of the FIFA Franchise is that in the course of the years it has simply shifted its focus on one goal; Profit Maximisation.

In the course of the last editions of the Fifa franchise, the game developers realised that in order to maintain a competitive environment and subsequently a popular and profitable game they had to level out and balance the difference in experience between players. This phenomenon is mostly if not only relevant to FUT (Ultimate team), aka EA's cash machine.

What the average dedicated Ultimate team player realises in the long-run is that at some point (if not at many) he will encounter something called Handicap (automated rigging) that decides to tamper with the game. The reason for which this (undeclared) system is implemented in the game revolves around two goals; The first being that the game becomes more "competitive" and it allows inexperienced players to have their say in the game to ultimately keep them hooked and entertained. On the other hand, their second goal, much in relation to the first one, is to milk out as much cash as possible from the players. The way that EA does this is by making players go on either winning or loosing streaks. In the circumstance of a loosing streak the average player will resort to buying packs in an attempt to increase its teams strength and redeem his/her losses. Now as you may know one single match will never provide you with enough money to buy loads of packs and win high rated players so essentially what happens is that many people resort to spending physical money in forms of Fifa coins (or online Fifa traders if smart) to increase their chance of getting a good team. Much like popular games in the past and present (Clash of Clans, Runescape etc), they as a company keep you hooked to maximise their profit.

The most common examples of tampering are the following: Players missing easy tap-ins, decrease in pace, players falling and tripping, randomly assigned penalties, excessive hits on posts and bars, players getting injured on an attack, 85 Physical rated players getting knocked down by garden gnomes and of course ridiculously easy goals between specific time frames (1-5, 40-45, 85-90, 90+).

Although everything above is the main reason why I have lost faith and interest in the Franchise there are another set of reasons why I think this game deserves a very low rating:

    - I feel that beyond a slight refurbishment in the GUI, Career mode is still the same dysfunctional and bugged game mode
    - The strategical environment of the game is flawed (Bad defence, excessive attack, etc.)
    - Tournament on Ultimate team get stuck permanently
    - Squads in Ultimate team get Stuck for days if not weeks
    - EA servers go down way too much
    - Over priced Fifa Coins
    - Unrealistic ratings of players
    - Fifa tax on FUT transfer market (Really?, a tax in a game?)

The reality is that EA is playing us for fools and have effectively been able to destroy something that old and young generations have craved as a culture. In true honesty my verdict on this game is a 2.

The only real solution to make EA come to terms with what being an ethical company is about is by not buying this game anymore. Next year its PES for me. Its about time that some sane competition puts EA back on track.

The added "reserve position" ability while a game is in progress is the highlight this year. No other changes to be heard of. Gameplay and servers seem to be fine.

First of all, I have been an avid FIFA player ever since FIFA 10 came out. I have seen the game change over the years and have experienced the positive nuances and obvious setbacks that each release has had to offer. I believe I am an above average FIFA player and I have learned the series enough over the years to be able to provide great insight to the more technical and subtle aspects of the game. With that said, I have to say that FIFA 15 is a pretty significant step backwards in the FIFA series.

    The Good:
The game looks fantastic. Some of the visuals of the game are absolutely stunning (the players walking out of the tunnel, the supporting fans reacting to their team's goal, etc.). The player animations are smooth and flow perfectly, and ball mechanics feel and look realistic. Career mode has also added smaller features that improve game play outside of actually playing a match.

    The Bad:
Not much in terms of innovation from the last game. There are new animations and the mechanics of the game have changed slightly but EA hasn't made any significant changes with the game that would compel me to buy it if it weren't for the roster updates (and the fact that online for an old FIFA game dies once a new game comes out). And of course, the EA servers (enough said).

    The Ugly:
Defending is absolutely impossible. In past recent FIFA's, I had put effort into improving my defense by learning to jockey (LT), anticipating passes, learning when to call for a second defender, etc., but this year trying to win the ball back is a chore. Quick players with high dribbling stats can easily sprint past the best defenders in the game with ease. Over-the-top threw balls aren't quite as over powered as last year but still can still be extremely difficult to deal with. Goalies can vary from game to game, one game they are a wall, the next they couldn't stop a beach ball.

Every time I try to play I tell myself that I can succeed playing the game without exploiting the flawed mechanics, i.e. pace abuse, constant over the top threw balls; (which I have been able to do in previous FIFA games; you would never see me do the "kick off glitch" last year haha) but I fall short to the rage that this game induces and I end up giving up.

If you buy FIFA every year, than I would suggest to buy this game. It is satisfactory enough and maybe the game fits your play style better. If you are new to the series, I would either suggest buying an older FIFA (13 was a favorite of mine although that game also had its flaws) for cheaper or trying this game out.

Disclaimer: The score of 4 is in relation to experience I've had with previous FIFA's. It would be hard to give the game a concrete score without comparing the game to past titles in the series.

I have no problem with a Ronaldo or Hazard flying between defenders, but when Ricky Lambert is dribbling around defenders like he's Messi then the dribbling has gone way over the top.

The new goalkeepers are also over-powered in one-on-one situations, yet virtually useless when it comes to stopping shots from further than 12 yards; shots right down the middle go past them like they aren't there, or just go through their legs.

Don't know what to say really, last years game was alright and this is a step back in all areas other than presentation. Hopefully PES's revival carries over to the full game to make up for their dreadful effort last year and FIFA's poor effort this year.

Unfortunately it's anything but beautiful. There are so many problems with this game, I don't even know where to begin.

The game is clearly catered for kids, (let's face it, they're the target audience) who want instant gratification. And this game rewards them in buckets. Want to run with a pacey striker without even a hindrance? Go ahead, the defence is non-existent anyway. Want to shoot from 35 yards out with a 75% chance of scoring? Yup, you can do that with ease.

Want to play FUT? Forget about it, the servers are always down. Either that or you get disconnected and acquire a needless loss. Yet if you want to spend real world money on player packs, guess what, the servers are always up and running, ready to separate your from your money.

Why create a game, which claims to have 'realism' e.g. crowd chants, facial animations, commentary etc, when the core gameplay is broken? The greatest problem, which remains from the previous game is the high pressing tactic, which renders all other styles obsolete. For those who don't know, in custom tactics you can set your team to press the opposition. This would be fine except it's game-breaking. For the full match, players are able to swarm the player on the ball and be physical without a hint of getting tired. What part of that is real? It's an exploit, which all kids use to good effect.

I for one, have been fooled too many times by the hype and razzmatazz. I sincerely hope Pro Evolution Soccer can claw back and bring a level of competition for EA to think about, as this series is rotten at the core.

Is it any wonder EA share the accolade with Comcast for worst company in America year after year.

Fifa 15 is not as fun as other yrs i buy it to play against my friends and what ever they did with the keepers and defenders a.i is crazy your keeper will sometimes rush out when theres no need and no im not holding y the defence also suffers with moments of madness just standing there not marking the runner the offside trap doesnt work i didnt think the players look so great see rickie lambert of liverpool as an example he looks like a wwe wrestler not a footballer. But theres some good ideas in this yrs fifa when the keepers are not going mad they make some great saves like your watching a real match the stadiums in england make a fun match hearing the songs and the chants the new shooting can be annoying but once you get used to it you will have fun trying 30 yard long rangers im skipping alot of stuff like no brazilian league no dynamo kiev and a few other things. Id suggest buying it if your a fifa fan if not id wait and try pes 2015 or just buy fifa 14 if you wanna play a football/soccergame Expand

New features, like having fully-licensed Premier League grounds, is a huge improvement - and while the emotions of the players during games doesn't feature as much as EA made out in the run-up to the release, your team does get second winds if you're chasing a game late on. The little aesthetic differences to the environment are impressive.

Dribbling is important again, which is a relief. Time after time on FIFA 14 you'd get in to great positions to buy yourself a yard and whip a cross in, only to lose acceleration completely and lose the ball. But on FIFA 15 you can get yourself that yard, you can leave defenders for dead and you can score solo goals again. The arcade feeling has returned, surrounded by this hi-tech universe EA have invented.

The speed of the game is a little unrealistic - but at the end of the day, this is a football game and not a football match. But what good is all of that when FIFA 15 presents its problems before you work out its treasures?

In the end, FIFA hasn't really been the same since they introduced Tactical Defending. I'm not saying that was the root cause of what we're playing now, but it gave EA the temptation to bite off more than they could chew with regards to altering aspects of the game completely when they only needed little tweaks.

And the Next Gen goalkeepers are yet more evidence of this. What good are the fantastic new tactical choices of All Out Attack and Park the Bus if they don't lead to goals because there's a superhero stood in front of goal? I've played around 10-15 games on this and I'm certain the goalkeeper has been the highest rated player in every single one of them.

It takes me 20 shots on target on professional - PROFESSIONAL - to score 2 goals. I'd bump it up to World Class like usual but I know I'd be on the end of 4-0/5-0 scorelines because the defending from the team I'm controlling is so loose. Pace and trickery can slice open my defence with ease, and my goalkeeper pales in comparison to the one stood at the opposite end. Why?

I've given this a 7 for now because my problems will all be sorted by November when the first patch comes out - but I'm annoyed at EA for releasing a game in this condition. It still feels like a demo because of the amount of improvement work that needs to take place and I'm currently battering Everton 3-0 with West Brom because I know I'll be on the end of a cricket score if I bump it up to World Class.

    I await the patch.

It is nearly impossible to tackle the AI because they react in a millisecond and will either turn or cut back to evade every challenge. You will spend large amounts of time tracking but never tackling the other team. To pass the ball you have to mash the A button or it will be intercepted. Heading which was overpowered in "14" is now so "under powered" that you will likely never score a header for as long as you live. Teams like West Brom, Portsmouth, and Burnley play like Barcelona, they play tiki taka inside my goddamn penalty box, when set to legendary expect nothing but anger and disappointment. Hopefully Ultimate team will be better than the joke that is single player. Expand

I accept that much like every scenario, when you’re winning “what a great game!! I love it” then when it goes wrong “OH!! That’s a load of b&^%$#*t!!”. But playing the game just gives me a feeling that it’s a count down until EA catches up with me and starts fixing my results.
I'm sure everyone on here knows the problems, there’s no need for me to recap them. However, I think there’s one flaw that stands out, there’s no consistency in the game. The teams I play with, whether its on Seasons or FUT, differ from game to game. This is a key basic fault in the way the game has been made.
I have two accounts, my first, main account, is cursed. I can't win for love or money. My record stands FUT 58-26-66, Seasons 24-8-20. I swapped everything, seeing as I had no resources in the other account, to that account. My current record stands at FUT 37-11-24 (but EA have caught up with me now, yesterday I beat a team with Rodriguez, Messi and Bale up front, not to mention the rest of the team, 5-1. Then, somehow, today I was destroyed 9-0 against a team, well, you should see the goals they scored, i.e. ricochets off my goalkeeper, off one defender, who then kicks it onto another defender, off my keeper again and falls nicely in front of my opponents striker..MAGIC. After 4-0, I set my players to ‘park the bus’ and left it, I return to see I lost 9-0..haha..dodgy game), Seasons 31-7-20. You tell me, do you see anything strange in that!?

Another shocking instalment of a once loved franchise that seems to get worse every year, I remember buying FIFA 13 and thinking what have they done but that seems like a masterpiece compared to this regurgitated, still broken ****

Every year they add more and more pointless features while the core gameplay is fundamentally broken with their 'physics engine' still a complete mess. On this years roster of inane things they have added to try and mask that they have't actually done anything; little animations and cut scenes for absolutely every event. I don't want to see two terribly animated players pretend to square up over a clear cut foul, I don't want 30 seconds of my player picking up the ball, placing it, and then lining up the free-kick when the half only lasts 6 minutes. I don't want 15 seconds of a player arbitrarily moving his mouth in front of the ref in complaint when he slid through my attacker from the back in the penalty area while last man and only being booked for it.
Players muscles now show through theirs shirt although again this could have been in FIFA 14, while they still stick to players like a second skin, how hard is it to animate shirts, I see games do it all the time.

Lets talk about gameplay. Admittedly it has been a little to easy to score on previous FIFAs, especially on FUT, so the addition of new low IQ demi-god super keepers has been implemented to try and even it up a little. They will pull off incredible reaction stops and ridiculous double and triple saves only to come for a corner or cross they clearly can't get or maybe leave their near post ridiculously open without your input leaving the opponent with an essentially empty net. The keepers in this game feel very schizophrenic, while playing with the same keeper as my opponent, and the latter pulling off save after match winning save mine is beaten by his first shot, usually a scuff straight at him

Defending it worse than ever, fullbacks drop playing attackers onside regularly. The AI will sometimes randomly pull a defender, usually your best centre back, from your well organised back line, leaving a gaping hole for one of the plethora of fast, strong black players your opponent is no doubt using to run in on goal unopposed and score near post. The defending AI is generally awful. Pace seemingly gets worse to defend each year, by the time you've managed to switch to the nearest player and you have broken from the glue that holds you to the pitch whenever you switch to a new player, Victor Ibarbo will have already passed you. It is possible to defend against pace but you need a perfect connection to the wonderful, venerable EA servers, anything less and your players simply won't react in time and if this is identified by your opponent they will get through to your goal at will. There is an exploit at kick-off when in two strides any attacker will have a free run at the defence, by passing the midfield who run aimlessly in the opposite direction. If you do manage to tackle a sprinting oncoming opposing player, don't be surprised if his momentum just wins him the ball back, or for your player to crumple to the deck leaving his standing and one less obstacle in his way.

The physics engine causes FIFA 15 to play to a different rule book compared to the real game. Anything off the ball isn't a foul, and if you can master the off the ball foul you can stop a lot of would be chances. You will find yourself being fouled on the ball and decision going the other way, you will round the keeper and be scythed down will ball a few yards ahead only to find your ref is Sun Kwan Cho and his eyes don't open enough to see the incident.

When the connection is good I can overlook most of the heinous design flaws and enjoy the game but as we know with EA this is rarely the case. One game my players are responsive with crisp passing and touches, the next they seem as if they have never played football, the passes either being under-hit or over-hit, having the turning circle of a heavy goods vehicle, constantly being offside, de-locking from the ball, standing behind opposing players, running to where the ball has been and gone, running into each other etc. I only accept games with green latency and my internet is very fast so I know its not on my end and 60% of games are fine but the other 40% make me want to pull my hair out. And in the end after one of these horrible laggy games where I have a scraped a draw to stay in my current division and my poorly animated PS2 graphics players celebrate their survival on the **** green carpet and Martin Tyler speaks of how he will see me again next season in the same division and I watch the first half of the highlight reel without being able to skip, a message pops up; 'disconnected from Ultimate Team'. I check my laptop, my internet is still on, I immediately reconnect to EA servers, 'it seems you disconnected from your last match, this will affect your DNF'. Relegated. **** you EA.

Well simply put, It's just Fifa..

There isn't much they can change, but it doesn't excuse not trying - i.e. Broken Keepers, lots of graphical and animation glitches, Overpowered pace/dribblers..

All in all a good football game, better than Pes for sure, but still not warranting 50 squids.

This is a frustrating game and loses the meaning of what a game should really be...fun. I know I could leave the online side but if I want a game I want to be able to play in every way possible to get my money's worth.

Overall I will always have a soft spot for the game. But I would actually prefer Ultimate team to be taken away and for a new create a team mode that doesn't focus on taking our money. Plus the luck on who will be in your team.

Worst Fifa game ever made. It's a broken game and the developers should be ashamed to have released such garbage.
Pros: Good graphics and they got rid of the overpowered headers.
Cons: The defense! Holding the a button is pointless. If the player on offense stops running then the defender will run 5 yards past the marked player. A player could run straight down the middle and score.

The golies are stupid. Balls can bounce off a top golies head and go in. On offense the free kick is overpowered. The players don't run properly which is inexcusable for a next gen game. This will cause you nothing but headaches and lead you to waste your money. Stick with an older FIFA game or go with PES unless you like wasting your money

FIFA 15 delivers what you would expect from it. Which is a massive plus point for EA Sports this year. In fact it’s the first EA game I’ve played this year that was actually feature complete at launch.

FIFA 15 it’s a football experience clearly built for new generation platforms but it’s not without problems or sufficiently demarcated from previous games.
