    DmC was one of the best action games of the last generation, and it’s remained fantastic two years later. It’s a better overall value now than it was then thanks to the addition of the DLC campaign and is still a must-play game.

A slight resolution upgrade, frame rate boost and additional content make for a good value package, but if you've already played DmC on last-gen platforms, you may want to carefully consider re-purchasing this, despite it remaining deliciously devilish.

    It’s a pity that the Definitive Edition falls short to the PC in terms of certain texture details. But other than that even two years after its premiere the rejuvenated Dante and his brother show that they still got it.

    You’re getting a buttery smooth gameplay experience, gorgeous graphics… but by and large this is the exact same game you played back on your 360 or PS3.

    That combat gets even more refined with a new lock-on mechanism. Suddenly, you can keep track of key enemies, elude with precision, achieve far greater accuracy with special moves. It all works fluidly and easily.

I changed the game to "hardcore mode" and I am no longer getting anymore SSS style points, thanks fanboys!! lol But seriously now that they have mostly fixed the combat, and added some difficulty levels I can see myself playing this for a while, and its a good thing too because the Xbone has no other hack n slash games out there to compete with this game.… Expand

    To counter act the nobends I must say the following:

    Capcom have stated its a parallel universe and not part of the main DMC line of games. They are making the 5th one as we speak.

    The game plays fantastic , Dante hair does turn white, Dante has stupid one liners, Dante thinks he is Gods gift to women, Vergil and Mundus are still dicks. Its DMC by the numbers I dont get some of the hate this game gets U_U    … Expand

    I found this game outstanding. The combat is fun, it never gets stale because you are consistently given new ways to open up your combos. TheI found this game outstanding. The scoring system is fair and gives you a fantastic sense of achievement when you get that SSS rank.
    The highlight of the game for me was everything surrounding the gameplay however. The characters' facial animations are spot on and the voice acting is some of the best in modern gaming. Topped off by a fantastic script, the characters and their motivations seem refreshingly believable. The humour is subtle, not forced, which made it that much funnier. There are numerous references to other games, films, and real people which are quite amusing. You WILL enjoy this game if you haven't played it before.    … Expand
