    It’s not quite the full spiritual successor to Burnout that we need, but it’ll certainly do the job until that arrives.

    For fans of Burnout’s crash mode and the first Danger Zone, Danger Zone 2 offers more of the same addictive gameplay. It’s simple, but there’s a certain joy to creating catastrophic wrecks that other games simply can’t match. Each level plays out as a puzzle mixed with an automotive calamity that you’ll need to solve and the system really works. You’ll enjoy reaching those high scores and then moving on to the next level.

    Danger Zone 2 is hugely enjoyable. The only thought on my mind as I finished up getting all of its platinum awards was that I wanted more.

    A great improvement over the original that almost nails the aesthetic and feel of the games it lovingly recreates even if it is a little rough around the edges. For those yearning for Burnout’s Crash mode or that just enjoy score attack games there is a lot to enjoy here!

    You already know I’m a massive fan of the Burnout series so when Danger Zone came out last year I was eager to get to grips with it.You already know I’m a massive fan of the Burnout series so when Danger Zone came out last year I was eager to get to grips with it. Thankfully Danger Zone didn’t do too bad but for me it just fell short and I think they just tried a little too hard when trying to recreate the Burnout series. That being said I still had a lot of interest in Danger Zone 2 and in a way I was more excited for this game than the original because I was hoping they would sort out the problems that dogged the first game. Thankfully they’ve done just that and not only have they sorted out the problems that made the first game fall a little short but they’ve also improved what was already good about the first game. Without a doubt the biggest improvement for me came in the technichal side of the game. Danger Zone 2 has implemented much better controls this time around and the physics that accompany them combine with the controls flawlessly which makes the gameplay extremely fun and exciting. Speaking about the gameplay to say it’s addictive would be a massive understatement and you’ll be pleased to know that the game has a decent amount of content for you to be getting on with. Despite that it still would’ve been nice to have had more content because what’s here is fantastic so more content would’ve been awesome. The biggest addition this time around comes in the form of the Crash Mode. The Crash Mode which was fantastic in the Burnout series is also very good here and you will no doubt return to this mode time and time again. You’ll be pleased to know then that you can play this and every other mode with a decent variety of cars at your disposal. Each car plays and feels different so trying each car out is worth it and trust me when I say that each car will provide you with plenty of exhilarating moments. Whilst the cars were all excellent to drive and crash I still would’ve liked a little bit more realism when it came to the car damage. Crashing cars at high speeds should result in multiple areas of damage but unfortunately that’s not the case. Realism isn’t a problem though when it comes to the presentation side of the game. This time around both the visuals and sound design have more polish than they did in the original and this definitely makes the game even more of an immersive experience. At the end of the day if you were a fan of the Burnout series and a fan of the first Danger Zone then you will absolutely love Danger Zone 2. Everything across the board feels improved this time around and that makes things even more exciting and addictive, and when it’s all said and done I can’t recommend this game enough.… Full Review »

Now I looked at all the games released by these guys and all of them has something to do with destruction. Like the first Danger zone game and dangerous golf which tasks you with literally just breaking everything down. They already have a new game in the works releasing later this year called Dangerous driving which is…yes you guessed it all about the destruction but now it’s on tracks.

    Now one thing that caught me off guard is that this isn’t like burnout I would even go as far as to say it only made me want to play burnout paradise again. That was partly my fault though I expected it to be like burnout which was wrong of me it is its own unique game only inspired by burnout. The game opens up with a tutorial guiding you through the mechanics of the game and how scoring works. The game mixes up gameplay with different events like, every event it has certain scores to earn different medals ranging from bronze, silver, gold and platinum. Which isn’t a bad thing it made me replay levels to get the platinum but my thing is. If you are going to have scoring like this in your, game there should be a way to always get the platinum medal. I found myself getting frustrated because there were some levels where I had to get extremely lucky to earn the high score.

    Not only was the scoring luck based at times but when I needed my car to work .it would react to hitting certain things in a weird way. All of a sudden my car would have no weight to it and it would fly all over the place, proving my previous point. The game did a fair bit with gameplay I enjoyed the time I had with it apart from the problems I had fun with it. The change up in terrain was a nice fit plus the different events from getting to the crash site as fast as possible or just causing the most damage you possibly can. I even managed to grab a number one spot on a certain event and having number one for the all-time biggest crash, so the fun-factor defiantly is there. The graphics for the game didn’t look that bad either, however I don’t know what it is about seeing cars get crashed but I always felt good seeing just what would happen. In the burnout games you almost wanted to crash your car that’s how good it felt, maybe it’s just me. That’s where I feel this game needed a change up is, an open world mode where you can do events or just crash your car. It felt to linear I wanted more from this game, maybe asking developers to create a whole open world would be a tough ask I just feel it would have been a nice addition. Also asking this from a team of this size is also hard but an open world would have done this game so much good.

    In conclusion should you give this time your time of day, I say yes. It might not be burnout but it is, its own little game on its own and it does provide a good bit of fun. This was also made by only seven people if this is their best then they did an amazing job and I look forward to anything Three fields entertainment does in the future.    … Full Review »

    J'ai beaucoup aimé le premier Danger Zone, hilarant et meilleur simulateur 2017 de carambolages et d'accidents... Pour cette suite, ce sontJ'ai beaucoup aimé le premier Danger Zone, hilarant et meilleur simulateur 2017 de carambolages et d'accidents... Pour cette suite, ce sont toujours les anciens de chez Criterion Games (qui avaient sévi sur les Burn Out) et qui s'y collent à nouveau, via leur tout petit studio Three Fields Entertainment.

    Contrairement au premier Danger Zone qui se focalisait uniquement sur le carnage routier sans nuance et sans fioriture, le 2 inclut de la conduite (!), à savoir qu'on roule (à fond) parmi (ou dans...) la circulation pour rejoindre la fameuse zone de danger, de chocs frontaux et d'explosions...

    Sauf que cette partie est soit éminemment désagréable soit complètement ratée : elle rappelle par exemple la maniabilité infâme et exécrable du premier Burnout, ses échecs punitifs (instafail come disent nos amis anglo-saxons) et nous éloigne du but premier : le massacre des tôles plus que froissées... Ainsi, s'emmerder à recommencer sans cesse ces 2 ou 3 km avant de pouvoir mettre la zone (avec le boost optionnel encouragé et inconduisible) se révèle-t-il très énervant.

    Et ce n'est pas le pire, car de nombreux niveaux sont bugués avec une "danger zone" vide (!) ou que l'on ne peut pas atteindre, des collisions foireuses et des voitures arrêtées au milieu de la route. Serait-ce une version bêta à l'insu de leur ignorance ?... Par ailleurs, les changements de caméra lors des carambolages ont totalement disparu et généralement, on a beaucoup moins de véhicules à tamponner !... Enfin, la manette vibre n'importe comment comme une dingue dès le premier crash sans que l'on puisse désactiver ça dans les options : on est obligé d'aller dans le système de la Xbox pour désactiver entièrement la vibration...

    Alors certes, le jeu est sensiblement plus beau que le premier et propose sur la X, soit un 4K30 soit un 1080/60 des plus satisfaisants mais inutile de dire que je suis extrêmement déçu de cette suite qui constitue un véritable affront. Et voilà, 20 boules à la poubelle ! et une place gagnée pour Danger Zone 2 dans la poubelle des étrons indés qui puent de la gueule !    … Full Review »
