    I have approx 45 hours into the game and have been thoroughly enjoying it despite the obviously glaring issues that said I went into the game expecting these kinds of bugs and knowing that the released game-play trailers were composed on high spec PC's. If these are things you cant look past please wait for another couple patches and turn off all the visual effects in the settings.     But seriously I do get the outrage, if the performance issues are a huge deal-breaker for you please do not buy it just wait for either a few more updates or until you have better hardware.

    Cyberpunk 2077 it's a good game, it's not all that they promised but you can still have fun and enjoy the main story, the bugs and crashes get in the way. Don't buy if it's not fixed

    This game is a broken, ugly, pile of trash on all current and next gen systems. I played this on the series x and could not believe how poorly it runs. Launch Xbox one games looked and ran better than this game. I had no hype at all for this and bought it the day before launch based solely on how well the Witcher 3 played and looked on the one x.     Game runs completely fine with a couple bugs here and there but nothing major. Looks and feels absolutely amazing. The story has me so hooked and I just wanted to chip in with some positive feedback amid all this controversy.
    I have faith that CDPR will patch all the bugs up neatly and then this game will be celebrated as the masterpiece it is instead of criticized.

    I have seen 2 or 3 minor bugs, a floating car, a floating gun and a couple of enemies fall over randomly during gun fights but nothing game breaking after a few hours of gameplay. I expected a lot worse based on others experiences but so far i have enjoyed the game a lot with no crashing whatsoever. Very happy customer and can't wait for the next    So far so good playing on my series X...

It should not have been released in this state, the fps rate is absolutely awful. I’m aware that it was never going to be the same graphical standard as PC or the new consoles but it should have been better than this. Look at red dead redemption 2 for a game that is absolutely beautiful using the Xbox one hardware. I have send my copy back to Amazon for a refund and will not be buying it again even when they patch it.… Expand

    In the first hour I experienced 2 crashes, frame rate drops to 17. Parts of the tutorial just wouldn't load. The tutoiral would freeze, then it would hurry up and catch itself. The game looks terrible. It's all fuzzy and distorted. Cdprojektred hid this game, lied about this game. You don't come back from this. Your solid reputation is dead and it always will be. This is a permanent stain

    I was horrified seeing the crash videos that were going around. When I finally got my preorder, I was hesitant and to be honest underwhelmed. I played about 2 hours worth and visual glitches were quite noticeable. It felt like I was just playing the E3 demo, again very underwhelming. It wasn't the visuals that bothered me, but more of the flow of the game. It didn't draw me in and theI was horrified seeing the crash videos that were going around.     Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most immersive games I have ever played. Night City is brimming with such detail that it's just pure joy to be in this world.     Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most immersive games I have ever played. Night City is brimming with such detail that it's just pure joy to be in this world. From the towering skyscrapers and roadways that encase the streets of the city, the mountains of trash just outside the city limits, the shady alleys ways that feel like they could lead anywhere, and the diversity of each of Night City’s districts, cyberpunk’s detailed world is by far the best part of the game. This is coupled with great character interactions in the story. While the story itself is solid but didn't blow me away, the character interactions do. The characters are so interesting and show a wide range of emotions. The performances are truly great with of course the notable Keanu Reeves as Johnny SIlverhand. Even the main character V, while not the most unique protagonist, has enough emotion and character to be notable even in this RPG. Speaking of RPGs, another great thing about this game is its character progression. From the copious amounts of skills, weapons, clothes, and of course cyberware to choose from, the amount of builds for V are truly varied. And the mission design helps to make your build standout, although running and gunning may be the more basic option (more on that in con’s) it all still feels satisfying in the moment to moment gameplay.
    The Cons: While cyberpunk is one of the most immersive games I have played, immersion is nothing without engamment. Because while immersion can bring you into a world, engagement is what makes that world feel alive, and this is where cyberpunk really slips up in my opinion. While missions themselves can be quite engaging, the open world itself is anything but. The main issue is NPC’s. The NPC’s in this game feel completely lifeless, reacting in the most artificial and bizarre ways. For example, in one part of the game I snuck up and killed an enemy stelathly. For some reason, everyone in the building I was in began crouching and huddling, even though they were nowhere near where I made the kill. It's things like this that make the world feel less like a city and more like an amusement park. Beyond the citizens of the cities, the gangs also feel artificial as well. You see, in the game you're a mercenary that takes jobs around the city. A lot of these jobs require you to interact with the different gangs. The issue is that no matter what you do, gangs don't respond to your actions. You can massacre an entire gang in the game and they wont do a thing. I really think this game needed a faction system or something, because without it the games world has no dynamic impact at all, making the open world of this game feel pointless. And to further this is the comically bad cops system. While in other open world games like Grand Theft Auto cops would give chase and hunt you down, in this game they don't. They just spawn out of thin air wherever you are, making the whole system disappointing. All these issues I have said take what is an detail and immersive world into a static theme park that barely reacts to the player and serves no use. Another issue is the level design. The thing is, the level design is really good, but if you go in guns blazing you completely miss out on this level design. It really only works from a stealth standpoint, making my katana wielding character get quite reptious after a while, where a stealthy character feels way more satisfying. Another issue is, of course, bugs and performance. I was playing this game on my Xbox One S, and while the game was playable for me even with frame rate drops and the bugs, I can not excuse other players' experience with this game on the base xbox one. For some people this game is unplayable at launch, and that simply can't be excused.
    Conclusion: Cyberpunk 2077 is one part of the most immersive games I have ever played, with a detailed world and characters. And the other part is one of the most buggy and shallow open world games I have played. In my opinion this game should have either spent more time making the world interactive and giving it a reason to exist or ditched the open world design in favor of more intractable hub levels similar to Deus Ex, because honestly the best parts of this game where interacting with characters in these amazing levels and building my character. Everything else, the open world and NPC’s just felt lifeless and useless. In my personal experience, I would give this game a 7/10, with the possibility of an 8/10 if itn the future the developers can add to and fix this game. But also considering the near unplayable nature for some people on xbox one, I have to give this game a 6/10. This game needed way more time to be refined. I do hope though this isn't the end for cyberpunk, because the world that's here I think deserves to be expanded upon and explored more. I hope in the future with expansions and fixes this game can be refined, because the good stuff in this truly deserves to be seen.    … Expand

    This game is simply BROKEN! DO NOT buy on Xbox One. CD Projekt and Sony both offered refunds for this faulty product. Microsoft refused me a refund after I pre-ordered it digitally from the Microsoft Store, which shows how little they care about their customers so I will now make the switch over to Sony after 19 years of loyalty to Microsoft.

    Dont buy this game. it's full of bugs. it seems like youre playing it on alpha state. it will run on max 30 FPS down to 10 FPS. NPC are trash, police doesnt do much. your choices doesnt do much either. its really not worth it. just save your money.

    This is by far the worst game I have ever played. The longer you play the more BS bugs & glitches you will run into. They can fix a money glitch in a jiffy but can't fix a bug that legit doesn't let you pull out any weapon not even your fists so the only way u can kill an enemy is running them over with a car. Btw the driving in this game is as bad as Watch Dogs driving

I could save regularly and play through the buggy mess with crashes every 20 minutes. But it is UNFORGIVABLE when the "ending" is not final and it's as if I wasted countless hours for nothing.     This game flat out fails to deliver on its promises and hype in just about every respect. It is an unpolished mess even after the numerous delays and truly lacks any real attention to detail. The animations. game mechanics and physics are so bad or lacking all together. Games from 2013 such as GTA are more well thought out.

They drive in pathways that are painfully obvious and simply stop whenever there are any obstacles. Almost everything can be cheesed with stealth and de-aggroing. Many simple objects like chairs and machines are inaccessible, not even allowing for the player to participate in the world unless given a prompt from a mission. The immersion is just not there. I personally can handle bugs and crashes, but I dislike that this game was sold as something it isn’t.    … Expand

    *AI: I believe True Crime: New York City, a 2005 game had better AI than this.
    *Shooting: Feels like Borderlands 3, not unique as they said in the trailers.
    *Driving: Not bad, could be better though.

Things like "NPCs with day/night cycles unique to each NPC", "car chases", or "destructible environments".

    The NPC AI is a joke. Be it your standard NPC walking on the street (who repeatedly say the same things and magically disappear if you fire a shot or jump too much) or the police (who literally spawn in if you commit a crime, but don't actually give chase) - it's all barely functional, and relies highly on scripting.

    "Car chases" are fully scripted. You can put the controller down and the outcome will always be the same. This is not what anyone expected from an "open world RPG" that have "choices that matter". Trailers featured V, the protagonist, driving and shooting - but at no point can we do this. At best, we get to be a passenger and shoot during events in which cars will *always* crash at set scripted points, even if you do nothing.

    Destructible environments? Well, you can blow up barrels and some things... but blowing a wall apart like in the E3 "demo"? Not at all.

    CD Projekt Red repeatedly promised that CP2077 would be released "when it's ready", but released to being virtually unplayable on base consoles and ridden with bugs / missing features. It seems CD Projekt Red really invested in playing out the Cyberpunk 2077 storyline in real life - lying and deceit for corporate greed.

    CD Projekt Red has lost all of it's trust - and I hate to say it, but they'll never regain it from me.

    NOTE: I put ~150 hours into this game. The story / world is great. It's a shame that they felt the need to sell a lie and release an unfinished product that was missing the core things that make an open world RPG function. Due to the lies and unfinished release, I have to knock the score heavily.    … Expand

It is a spit in the face to all of us playing on the base consoles, playing on the systems this game was made for.

    Despite surface level issues (which vary from hardware to hardware), there are fundamental problems with the game. The AI is braindead, with NPC's barely functioning, police spawning into place and enemies never having interesting fighting mechanics. The world feels hollow because of this. Clothing is useless, Perks are (mostly) pointless, crafting is useless. So much could be said about the mechanics in this game and how poorly implemented they are. This obviously should've been in the oven for years longer. It feels so half baked and disappointing.

    Despite this, the world is beautiful when the frame rate isn't in the dumps. The story was enjoyable, and the characters are mostly interesting (besides V (hot take)). The framework for a genuinely great game is here, but the management at CDPR just muffed it. This could've gotten a higher score in my eyes if the game hadn't been as hyped up. CDPR promised something, and they did not deliver. What a shame...    … Expand

    I purchased this game last year for xbox. On release, I recognize that there were bugs, and aspects that were missing on release that I had hoped for. I believe I had allowed the marketing to dictate my expectations, and they were high. I wasn't heavily disappointed, as despite the glaring flaws, I enjoyed the game. 2022, after their most recent patch, I played through the game for aI purchased this game last year for xbox. If i was rating this on writing alone, it would be an easy 9 or 10... but writing and story is only one element of a successful GAME. I can read a 10/10 book, or watch a 10/10 movie -- a game must also provide interactive entertainment as well. And that's where Cyberpunk 2077 in its current state fails miserably.

    First, the game is chock full of bugs. I'm sure by the time you've read this you've seen lots of articles, memes, and jokes about the various bugs. Most of them are cosmetic, but some can be gamebreaking. Characters and interactive items getting stuck under textures or the inventory system deciding not to let you change equipment. I can't go five minutes without some bug cropping up, whether its my clothes textures magically vanishing or the menu not responding.

    Second, performance is a complete nightmare. Even on the Series X, framerate drops significantly. You'll be getting hit by someone and unable to react because the frame rate drops so severely that input becomes delayed. This makes elements of combat somewhere between frustrating and rage inducing. And that's assuming it doesn't crash to dashboard, which the game is guilty of doing frequently. Graphically, the game takes the title of Downgrade Champion™ from Watch_Dogs, as this game looks decidedly 2014, even on the Series X. It's nothing like what was shown during promotional material or pre-release gameplay, and it's obvious why CDPR had demanded reviewers use b-roll footage for their reviews rather than actual gameplay footage.

    Third, and finally (but not the only other problem), the entire user interface/user experience is awful. These menus are some of the clunkiest I've seen this last generation. You'll spend more time fiddling with things in your inventory, backpack, skills, vault than you will exploring Night City. It's a tedious slog that becomes very reminiscent of early Mass Effect back on the X360 where more time was spent in menus breaking down weapons and gear for Omnigel and fiddling with skill points. It's difficult to feel invested in the world when I'm having to pop into a menu every few minutes and click through a bunch of other menus just to get something accomplished.

    Unless you have a beefy PC to play the game on, I cannot recommend it in its current state. As much as I'd like to keep uncovering the story and meeting new people in Night City, the constant bugs, crashes, and endless menu interactions ruin it. Despite all the other prior delays, it's clear this game needed another 6+ months in the cooker. I wouldn't recommend bothering with the game until: A) you have next gen hardware, B) the next gen update (along with multiple bug fixes) is released, and C) it's on sale.

    I'm giving it a four on strength of story and writing alone. The rest of the 'game' is about a 2. Where's all the big city immersion we were told we were going to see? The lengthy launch trailer talked about doing things to spend our 'ill gotten gains' on, but there are no silly side activities to do except shop and drink -- where's the equivalent of a bowling alley or dart club or karaoke bar?? Why bother with lifepaths if all they really do is add meaningless dialog choices? (Aside: how is it that The Oregon Trail, a 40 year old game, understood meaningful lifepath choices better than Cyberpunk 2077, a game built on a deep pen and paper RPG???)    … Expand

    This score applies to the One X version, not base consiles. Bottom line...If you have an Xbox One X you’re fine. Game runs acceptably throughout, looks relatively good, though nowhere near what was accomplished in Gears 5 and Doom Eternal. Played for about 15 hours, I haven’t had a single crash. Yes, there are bugs, but none are game breaking so far. Story is decent, the world is well developed, the mechanics are fine, but there also isn’t anything groundbreaking or mind blowing. It’s a good game, but nothing is truly exceptional.

    That being said, if you have a base console, however, stay away. 15fps and 720p is unacceptable on every level.    … Expand

    I know this game has had a lot of negativity, mainly due to numerous glitches, but I'm really enjoying it! I'm playing on an xbox series x and yes it is glitchy, but after 50+ plus hours I have only had 1 crash and nothing else game breaking.

    I finished it. I thought I’d only just got started. I’d only done about 1 mission in the badlands FFS! Seriously, this has got to be the worlds shortest RPG...

    It’s an RPG with the campaign length of a first person shooter. Really this product was not ready, and I’m not just talking the bugs. I would say it needed another year in development focusing just on the high end hardware. They really needed to flesh the storyline out across the whole map and get you immersed in the cyberpunk world. It’s a great game. Utterly hung out to dry. The nextgen version doesn’t even exist. This is by your own omission CDPR, as you cannot buy a PS5 or XSX version, only a “current gen backwards compatible version”. This is a scam, you owed someone money and apparently your investor daddy’s pockets were dry? This is less playable than Subnautica, how do you even do that. I’ve roamed through Red Dead’s forests, Ghost of Tsushima’s fields, and AC Valhalla’s mountains, yet driving for 3 minutes in 2077 broke me. With a heavy heart, I uninstalled CB2077 and decided to redo my mod list and rerun Skyrim. I recommend this with a Riverwood house mod and JK’s Riverwood. Add in a skill tree overhaul plus more kill moves and become a dual-dagger-wielding vampire assassin, maybe a daedra conjurer, or even a spear throwing paladin, and escape to a cozy world, until this one gets fixed.    … Expand

Unfortunately the next-gen patch got delayed into Q1 2022, but I couldn't resist myself and after checking which platform does it justice pre-patch, I decided to play it on Xbox this time (although I'm 100% confidentI had already played this through day-one on PS4, and to put it simply - I loved it despite it's technical problems. But then I didn't encounter that many of them back in the day... anyway, I already wrote that under PS4's section of the games. Even then none of that was a problem for me as I was so drawn into the story of the game. To be honest, there are only a few other titles I had this much fun with. Gameplay was great, I didn't feel bored once all this time and I couldn't imagine it being any better. Many people told themselves that Cyberpunk 2077 was going to be messiah of gaming, a true competitor to franchises such as Grand Theft Auto, Fallout and much more. In their minds, it was supposed to not only be a great story, but also an adventure filled with police chases, night life and all of that jazz. I, on the other hand, had never thought of Cyberpunk in these regards and that might be the reason why I love it so much. The story is captivating, there was so much thought put into creation of the world, the gameplay feels just so... right, and the visuals can be stunning on newer hardware. It's simply unbelievable how bad of a reputation this game got because of the technical shape it was released in. 8/10 on PS4/Xbox One, but easily 10/10 on next-gen consoles.… Expand

Couple of other things that bothered me were driving... only used a motorcycle, sneaking/stealth, hacking, i still don't get how that worked but i was still pretty good at it. The leveling system didn't really contribute to making the experience any better and street cred leveled way to quickly, and crafting, wow what a disappointment... this game was less RPG more grand theft auto with some RPG elements added. I feel after 8 years of development we should have gotten master piece like the Witcher 3 but ended up with something that tried hard but was unfulfilling to play. I feel bad for the devs because of the hate they are getting right now but CDPR leadership should have delayed until April 2021, but even then I'm not sure i would score any differently… Expand

    Iv returned back to cyberpunk after patch 1.5 and love the game. The game is now at a very good state and looks great on the series x. I actually rate this game at an 8/9 but extra points awarded for the help for Ukraine. We done cd project red, bullies can and will never win!

It actually doesn't even make sense the studio with so much experience release something like this. Tons of missing basic content (customizations of avatar, cars, weapons, houses, nonstop repeating music - like seriously, there are like 4 songs playing on every radio station in a loop).

    And the worst part? They knew they were about to release broken, far from finished game. They literally admitted they were lying about the technical state of the game. The last delay to December? That was literally made just so they wouldn't be on VGA, because they knew they'd fail miserably - as they claimed it was to optimize last-gen versions even more than it already is.

    For me, the score for this game must be separated into many categories -
    Storyline and story side quests: 9/10
    Atmosphere: 9/10
    Technical aspects (including AI, customization etc): 3/10
    Sound: 5/10
    Game content outside of story: 5/10

    Summarized: 6/10. Unfinished game in every possible imaginable aspect there is, and the only thing why it's worth playing is for it's story and how well it's presented. Your choices in the world have little to no effect at the endings, which eventually makes the whole journey pointless. But really great story to play through during the pandemic nevertheless. It'd just make much better mini-series.

    One of the best cyberpunk games and has a great plot. Be aware of bugs, but the game is perfect playable on next gen, pro versions of past gen consoles and the best version is PC.

    Honestly love the game, glitches and all. Recently my opinion changed, the 8mb save file max is the most obsurd thing I've ever heard. To tell people they're playing the game wrong by doing everything it has to offer is absolute garbage. I'll maybe revisit the game next year, for now I can't support something like this

    Muchos bugs, y lo veo muy flojo como conjunto. Me gusta la historia, pero honestamente me parece mejor Crackdown 3 cuando se trata de tiroteos y verticalidad en la ciudad. No entiendo ver edificios y estructuras tan altas si no puedes entrar a ninguna ni subir. Una vez conoces una parte de la mega ciudad, ya conociste todo, es muy monótono y repetido.

    Creo que al final fueron víctimas de su propia campaña de marketing. Yo leí en varios medios que este era el mejor juego de la década, y la verdad no veo tal cosa.

    I am playing on an Xbox one X. Cyberpunk might be a great game and i want to play the game but low frame rates, bugs and crashes dont allow me to enjoy the game right now. I would have expected a finished game after they pushed the release date.

    If it wasn't meant to be played on console they should have said so. the false advertising is just inacceptable,

    Okay so, i've played this game now for a few days. i've heard and read a lot of negative reviews about this game. for so far i really like it, it plays easy and if i'm bored i hop into nightcity. of course there are bugs and glitches but what game doesn't have that?

    Cyberpunk 2077 had some big issues but over time they're gone. The game is enjoyable. Characters are absolute blast, and the story is very well written. Now just the Next Gen Uprgrade is missing. Good job!

    Amazing game and story. After 1.04 second day patch it runs well on xbox one x.

    Update after 1.21 patch: everything got better, you have to try

    mi experiencia fue en series X; dejando a un lado los bugs (molestos, chistosos, incomodos, etc... y cuando digo etc créeme que es porque estaba plagado de bugs cuando lo juge, de todo tipo), el juego no es lo que se esperaba, y no vi nada que no pudiera ser posible hace años en cuanto lo anunciaron, perdió un poco de cofinancia cdpr de mi parte.

    On xbox one X here. Various bugs in game. Cars turn into boxes, system crashed when drive to another zones. Quest NPCs with no legs. The list just keeps go on. The game itself is fine and great when it works but there are one too many game breaking bugs here

    Overall, I think there’s a lot to like when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077, which has been unfortunately marred by poor performance issues on a number of platforms, and some poor communication (along with some overpromising) on the part of the publisher. It’s clear that a lot of work went into putting this game together, and it’s unfortunate that it had to release in a state that feels a little unfinished. It’s still a game you can very much derive enjoyment from, even in its current state but your ability to overlook open-world bugs and performance issues is certainly going to factor in quite a bit.

    Cyberpunk 2077 didn't meet my expectations, but also didn't disappoint me. It delivered an RPG experience like no other, delving deep into themes like control, awareness and addiction. The combat is great and the graphics are amazing, but the bugs and some under-cooked systems make it seem like the devs got lazy, and that's always a bad sign. (Played on Xbox Series X)
