    Castaway Paradise is a game that is an Animal Crossing-inspired game and has the benefits of bringing this kind of genre to consoles like Xbox One. Maybe it can get monotonous but it's perfect for kids and adults alike.

    What’s good about Castaway Paradise is that it’s a great time sink; easy to spend an hour or two just mulling around the place, catching a few fish, pulling out some weeds or just tending to your crops. It isn’t the sort of gameplay that will appeal to everyone, but if you are looking for a game to simply pass some time, this is the perfect choice

    The one positive thing that I did truly enjoy, despite its flaws, was the fact I could have a bad day, not in the mood for my usual gaming, only to put this game on and complete a few quests and become calm and relaxed. That's what this type of game experience is supposed to be; laid back and stress free. Plant crops at your own leisure, meet new characters, and restore the islands. This game is perfect for those gamers that have no idea what Animal Crossing is.

    If you’re not a fan of slow paced game’s that have a likeness to Animal Crossing then this won’t change your mind any time soon. The game does suffer with a few technichal issues every now and then and whilst none of them are major issues they can still be quite annoying. There is some customisation present in the game but I found the customisation to be a little basic and in the end I was crying out for more. Does Castaway Paradise do enough to get a recommendation from me? It's one of those game’s that’s perfect to pass an hour or two here and there and it’s also a game that won’t cause you too much stress at all. In the end I played this game with my children and they really enjoyed it because it does have a few similarities to that of Animal Crossing so if you’re a fan of these types of game’s then you will thoroughly enjoy your time with this game and when it’s all said and done this game gets more than enough right to get a recommendation from me.… Full Review »

It tries to be Animal Crossing but is far from it. Even that I can forgive if the game would just be playable.. I started 2 games (saves) and had to quit both of them because the game just completely glitched out. The most random glitches keep happening at the most random moments in this game. Sometimes characters just glitch out and can't give you quests anymore (it literally says 'test' then), other times you just can't remove certain tree stumps but then you can after going in and out of your house, other times the game just randomly levels you up 3 times in a row, other times quests just don't complete... and the list goes on an on. They should be ashamed that they released the game in this state. It had potential but the bugs and glitches just completely ruin the fun.

    Don't waste your money on this garbage, unfinished product. This whole practice of releasing unfinished games should really stop and we should not buy crap like this. It could have been a nice and relaxing game if the developers actually bothered to finish it and test it for bugs. Now it's just a lottery every single time you play because you never know when the game will glitch out on you.    … Full Review »
