    If you’re not a fan of slow paced game’s that have a likeness to Animal Crossing then this won’t change your mind any time soon. The game does suffer with a few technichal issues every now and then and whilst none of them are major issues they can still be quite annoying. Does Castaway Paradise do enough to get a recommendation from me? It's one of those game’s that’s perfect to pass an hour or two here and there and it’s also a game that won’t cause you too much stress at all. In the end I played this game with my children and they really enjoyed it because it does have a few similarities to that of Animal Crossing so if you’re a fan of these types of game’s then you will thoroughly enjoy your time with this game and when it’s all said and done this game gets more than enough right to get a recommendation from me.… Expand

    What was supposed to give me a relaxing and laid back time quickly turned into a lot of frustration. The game is pretty basic which is fine. It tries to be Animal Crossing but is far from it. Even that I can forgive if the game would just be playable.. I started 2 games (saves) and had to quit both of them because the game just completely glitched out. Sometimes characters just glitch out and can't give you quests anymore (it literally says 'test' then), other times you just can't remove certain tree stumps but then you can after going in and out of your house, other times the game just randomly levels you up 3 times in a row, other times quests just don't complete... and the list goes on an on. They should be ashamed that they released the game in this state. It had potential but the bugs and glitches just completely ruin the fun.

    Don't waste your money on this garbage, unfinished product. This whole practice of releasing unfinished games should really stop and we should not buy crap like this. It could have been a nice and relaxing game if the developers actually bothered to finish it and test it for bugs. Now it's just a lottery every single time you play because you never know when the game will glitch out on you.    … Expand

    Castaway Paradise is a title that tries to live up to other genre defining hits like Blue Harvest and Animal Crossing, but merely comes across as a cheap knock-off of the two. A life simulator that doesn't look very lively, your money is better spent else where.

    The one positive thing that I did truly enjoy, despite its flaws, was the fact I could have a bad day, not in the mood for my usual gaming, only to put this game on and complete a few quests and become calm and relaxed. That's what this type of game experience is supposed to be; laid back and stress free. Plant crops at your own leisure, meet new characters, and restore the islands. This game is perfect for those gamers that have no idea what Animal Crossing is.
