Zombies is decent, I actually really liked the multiplayer until it got stale! But campaign sucks. Bad story. Want a good story and campaign in FPS? Play Halo, NOT COD.,

Not sure why this game is getting so much hate. It's a lot more fun and fluid than the last COD. Sorry you can't fly through the air all the time but the mechanics are much more fun. It takes a lot for a game to be a true 0 and this definitely does not deserve a 0. The multiplayer is better than Halo 5... That's for sure.

BEFORE YOU BELIEVE A PERSONS REVIEW WHETHER IT IS GOOD OR BAD!!
I suggest that you look at the persons profile, and see what games they are into by comparing their other scores. I have seen a lot of people who give 0 are into RPG style games or have given every HALO game a 10and others who a 10 are (obviously) into COD.
OK back on track now. This game also requires a 3GB day one patch

    OK back on track now.

This game also requires a 3GB day one patch to run which i think is disgusting, that's almost an additional 5% of file size to fix up problems after it went gold (finalised for sale)
COD BLOPS III is set in the future with cybernetics (deus ex) as the innovation (gimmick) of choice this time around.
What you can do with these upgrades is quite fun.
Cybercores: (plasmids style Bioshock) add new ways to take out enemies but work best in a group environment (more on this later).
Parkour style running (mirrors edge, Titanfall): Is smooth and when you get a kill using it quite satisfying.
Character choice: (RPG) You can choose a male/female, a very restricted head list that looked all the same to me and uniforms that you unlock as you progress.
As you can see it borrows heavily from a lot other games to and doesn't introduce anything most players wont have used at some previous point in time.
    The campaign:
Starts out fantastically well and has a rather brutal scene that caught me by surprise. However it does fall down a little bit in the 2nd and 3rd acts and plays just like a standard COD campaign game. It was very short and felt a little lacking to me. Voice acting was so-so, publishers need to realise the difference between actors and voice actors.
Multiplayer campaign was a lot of fun, but i found it better split-screen as opposed to online as we could cutomise our rigs to complement each other (i'm sure others with more friends online will find it better online).
    Multiplayer:
The usual COD style of twitch, fast paced action and class customisation that is the hallmark of these games is pulled off very well and smoothly.
Parkour is easy to pull off, however the maps don't feel like they were made for it and usually makes you a target when used. The power slide (syndicate) however is very useful and is a good option to use instead of the usual dive.
    Zombies:
Thankfully is not DLC this time around (worst decision ever AW)
Has some new twists on the one map you have access to and the voice actors add humor with their one liners. Otherwise its the usual fun of zombies. BIG HINT: you will die.

In short this BLOPS III steals a lot of ideas from other games. Packages them together to try and trick you into thinking it is something new, in some ways it works in others not so much. However there is no true "innovation" here.
On console however it was smooth with only a little delayed texture fill now and then.
Nowhere near the best but certainly nowhere near the worst it is a good standard COD FPS
I enjoyed playing this and will probably keep playing it for awhile, especially the zombies.

The guns have no oomph and feel plastic, the maps are garish and just not very well-designed, lag-compensation is still an issue, and while the movement is fast I am not a fan of futuristic boost-jumping. On the plus side, the customization is good, but that doesn’t make up for a game that still pales massively to the original games. CoD has lost its way and it just comes across as being desperate to satisfy teenagers with dwindling attention spans. Expand

This is why i point blank refused to buy this game after the disgrace that was AW. That was until i saw a review from somebody like me who played the old school CODs and said they got that feeling back from this game. I live on multiplayer and love creeping around on hardcore mode not knowing what is round that corner. This was impossible on AW as all of a sudden somebody has jumped over you and shot you. YES you get people jumping on this but it is no where near as common or effective as AW, you can easily pick them out of the sky. YES people wall run but they aren't that quick that you can't shoot them. Wall runners and jumpers are easy kills. YES you sometimes spawn and get killed straight away but it is rare and i remember this happening in every single COD since it was created so its nothing new and certainly not a reason to give a 0. I am 24 and most of these reviews are from whiny little kids that are annoyed they cant boost jump all over the map and actually have to use tactics to get the upper hand. Really enjoying this multiplayer, addictive again and has reignited my love for COD after switching to Battlefield when they released AW. I haven't played campaign or zombies yet but if multiplayer is what you enjoy, buy this and ignore the stupid red reviews. Expand

Even though I'm from the Halo camp my favorite multiplayer game of ALL TIME is World at War, I was desperately awaiting the announcement of WaW2 and then they announced this. I decided to still give it a shot and I'm glad I did. After beta testing it I knew I'd enjoy the multiplayer at least. The other modes, well..... The campaign is okay. The zombies mode is..... Really weird? (Though I didn't shell out the dubs for Der Riese GIANT and I wish I would have)

If you like CoD you will have a fun time with this game but I just feel like I've done this before..... A lot. It's going to get really old really quick. Wait for it..... Wait for it..... IMO if you want the most bang for your buck this Christmas get Halo 5. It's so good it hurts. I'm highly addicted to Halo 5's scaled back multiplayer. They stopped trying to be like CoD and finally embraced the old style of halo again. Call me back to duty when WaW2 is released, then and only then will I dive back into a CoD game.

By the time I switched to multiplayer, I had used a sniper rifle/pistol combo because all the other guns got me killed (it's like shooting them with a paintball gun while they have rocket launchers with 150% accuracy). The multiplayer pulled a 180 from the beta and now it's similar to Ghosts (1 bullet to kill) with far worse spawn zones. You spawn and the enemy players will be within line of sight almost immediately (at a bit of a distance though) and usually where you can't see them but they can see you. I have played all of the CoD games since the first one on the PC and this has now confirmed that I will never buy another CoD again.

    I've only played the multiplayer, and this if the first COD game I've bought so here are my impressions;

-Map Design is great; Maps are small-medium sized, asymmetrical and have central fighting areas that everyone gravitates towards. Nearly constant action, it's very easy to find people unlike and you never feel like your searching through the map for the other team. Their is very little camping in this game, occassionally you'll see someone hit the deck in a clever spot but map flow does not promote camping. The maps are really well designed. They also are designed for the new mechanics, wall-running(parkour) and double-jump(whatever you call that jet pack thing from Titanfall), and they seem to work really well, the best 2 maps so far are probably the beta maps but overall I think I've liked at least 8 of the maps. which is fantastic.

    - New Mechanics; Wall-Running(Parkour) and Booster-Jumping(Double jump from Titanfall) both feel good in this game, their inclusion is done well and they feel natural, it took me less than 2 minutes to get acclimated to them. Having said that, it feels like they are directly ripped from Titanfall and I can't feel like as I am playing this game that this is what I was hoping Titanfall had been like, nonetheless they do also feel like cheap mechanics that are here to create variety and *new aspects for the complainers that say the game is the same every year. I am in the boat that would prefer improved mechanics and fundamentals with better maps as opposed to new movement mechanics that are sweeping through FPS. So I would have left them out but they work fine.

-Weapons; Feel really good. I have been going back and forth through Assault Rifles and SMGs and I've found multiple weapons that I could use as my primary weapon. Really well balanced weapons, also the customization on the weapons is really well done, it's very simple figuring out how you want to customize your weapons compared to Ghosts where there was a confusing mess of options. Customization in this game is really straight forward and it's easy to figure out what works and what you want.

-Graphics; For some reason I'm not a huge fan of the games graphics, it is a next-gen looking game, but to me COD has always had more muted colors and this game is very colorful, I think they would have been better off creating more visually interesting playspaces with a more consistent theme than focusing on making the game such a mosaic of bright colors. Having said that the character models and the weapons look great, and I think it's a very next-gen looking game.

I gave this game a 9/10 and If I were reviewing it on IGN or something I would have given this game a 9.3 or 9.4 out of 10. This is a complete release; It has a long engaging campaign, a full multiplayer, and a full horde/PvE mode in Zombies. You also have theatre, stat-tracking, they have support for competitive. I don't like the way COD does playlists having them be gametypes specific; because around 75% of the players simply stick to Deathmatch and Domination. It seems like they should break up their playlists by bundling some of the similar gametypes together and having an Arena playlists that features both Slayer and some of the more Competitive Objective gametypes.

    TL;DR
Overall: Great FPS. Great Multiplayer. Fully-Immersive Campaign and Zombies Mode. 9.3/10.

The saddest part about this game isn't that its another re-skin of previous franchises.
The saddest part about it isn't that the story is almost identical to Advanced Warfare, and that the gameplay is Titanfall's retarded cousin.
The saddest part is that we all believed this one would be different. We thought we were going to get something genuinely special.

This game is garbage, what are they trying to be Titanfall? Advanced Warfare was one step in the wrong direction and now this is three more. Anyone that gives this game anything higher than a 5 is either paid to do so, or an annoying 15 year old fan boy. The last decent CoD was MW2 and it's all been downhill from there...Treyarch almost hitting rock bottom here. I'm sure Infinity Ward will next year though.

The only redeeming quality is zombies, and even that is just rehashing old CoD's.

Regarding multiplayer, how are you supposed to attract new people if it's the same old schlubs that do nothing but play this all day just instantly killing them? At least with Halo, you can live past the first shot and change your strategy, at least get some kills. With this game, the people that have been playing it all day every day for 6-7 years always destroy everyone. Just not fun. This is the last time I'll be throwing $ toward the CoD franchise. Back in the days of MW2, it was extremely fun, but these last 3-4 years, it's been nothing short of pathetic.

Welp, onward and forward to Halo, an actual good and competitive game for this holiday season.

A great game despite its flaws. The campaign could be more but still manages to be a great experience if you look past the first few missions. Multiplayer is a blast and makes up for the inadequacies found in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. If you're a fan of Call of Duty, this will appeal to you. While the formula doesn't take risks, it still works.

If you play CoD for the campaign, Black Ops III is a low point featuring a confusing and uninteresting story, poor pacing, cheesy dialogue and over-the-top voice acting that results in a story that resembles what the outcome would be if you dropped the cast of Team America: World Police on the set of Inception or Source Code.
