    I'll give it a zero since I was going to purchase this game, looked very much forward to dropping the cash for it yet the EA Creative Officer called customers ignorant.

    Well, fine, his opinion. Mine is to never purchase an EA game again until he's fired/sacked.

    What away to ruin a great series (course talking original Battlefield before they turned it into COD and ruined it forever).

    Ignoring all the past controversy, is this game fun? Answer: no. The game balance is terrible, as only two of the classes are worth playing. The content is poor, with large amounts just recycled from BF1, eg the guns. The gameplay just feels empty and lifeless somehow - there's no sense of a battle to the fights. If you do decide to buy on PC, try to ask others with a similar spec if they can actually run it properly. As for the single player, I haven't finished all of them yet but so far the game just fails to capture any of the magic that bf1 had. I'm going to be selling my copy soon. I don't usually bother to review games but this one was such a disappointment that I just had to.… Expand

    I love female gamers and avatars; however, they need to be historically accurate in order to make them believable and fun to play (think older, chain-smoking female French partisans for example). This game's focus makes it feel like Fortnight. The only question left to ask - where's the bus?

    If you want to see petite Asian women and female cripples running around on the frontlines of WW2 then go ahead and buy this travesty of a game. Not to mention the Fortnite style character customizations that make WW2 an even bigger joke. This game takes SJW to an entirely new level LOL.

    Battlefield V provides the lowest amount of content ever featured in a Battlefield Game, and yet that is only the beginning of it's woes. For $60, you get less new content than a Fifa game.

    As a long term Battlefield fan and someone who is generally interested in history this game feels like a massive slap in the face. When Battlefield 1 came out I could not wait for the series to move to WW2. BF1 apart from a few minor flaws was fun to play and respected the period. The guns in this game don't feel like they have an impact on enemies and there is no weight to the bullets. I don't mind games that involve historical inaccuracies but I don't appreciate the developers attempting to make political points. Games are meant to be fun. People who play war games want to feel like they are taking part in a war. WW2 is one of the darkest and most important moments of human history. EAs attempts at changing history and the gender of the combatants is an insult to the brave men & woman who sacrificed their lives. Any pilot or driver is forced to spawn as a woman. At least give people the choice. It just ruins the atmosphere of the game and the immersion. Woman played a major role in the war but not as combatants (Largely). I want to play a semi-realistic game about allied soldiers fighting the axis with time accurate weapons. EA may have got away with these changes if the companies games weren't declining in quality and accelerating in cost. The greed of this company is unbelievable. Additionally, as a tip for developers in the future don't insult your fan base when they complain that a one armed female sniper with a robotic arm is not realistic for a WW2 game. The everlasting quote of if you don't like, don't buy it becomes more fitting as time passes.

    Constant bugs, permanent disconnects of the server, code 34601 is constantly issued. The game does not load 2 large operations cards. Bought for $ 60, and now the game is 35% cheaper, EA or f*** !!

    I´ve played 15 hours ... Boring maps, very similar too, Bridges all around... Boring... If you don´t camp, you are one of fews who does not do it ... with Patrol you have to secure area end move, I miss the Adrenaline the Emotion of BF1. Impossible to put down a Plane with anti-air weapons. NOTHING to do with 2ww.

    There are 2 positives for me that lead me to this score of 2/10, and they are simply that the game looks really good, and has one really good map (Twisted Steel), and a few other decent ones.

    In the negatives... The game seems to have been rushed out too soon (seems to be the theme of games this fall) and was incomplete. Every single tab you look at throughout the menus says "Coming soon" from key game modes to vehicle customization to the practice firing range. Then there was the initial reveal trailer and the whole Trevor Noah showcase that was an absolute failure, it was incredibly boring, and it was the start of an abysmal marketing campaign. In game, there is no class balance, medics and snipers are vastly inferior to assault and support classes which dominate the entire game, and on top of this, the time to kill is too fast and feels close to Black Ops 4.

    + Game is great to look at
    + Twisted Steel is an excellent map, and there are a couple other good ones

    - Game is an unfinished product
    - Poor marketing campaign by DICE & EA
    - Insulting the fan base is not a smart move
    - Credit system is an absolute joke
    - Revising history for the sake of inclusion did the game no favours
    - Grand operations are boring and lack the intensity that BF1 had
    - Unbalanced classes & fast time to kill hurts the Battlefield playstyle
    - No major battles from WW2
    - Squads are reduced to 4 players
    - Does not feel like World War 2 at all

    Overall, I am glad I was able to borrow this from a friend who is planning on returning it because, just like Fallout 76, these companies have turned series I used to love, into service games that launch with half the content, charge full price, and do not become complete experiences until a year or two of updates have been injected.

    What made this game even worse for me, was being insulted by the developer for being concerned about ham-fisted socio-political agendas being thrown into games when they are a means of escaping it! Instead we are left with an immersion breaking, revisionist perspective, of the deadliest human conflict in history for the sake of inclusion, and some people wonder why gamers and the like, are upset with this?

    Hopefully this major sales drop and low community score are a wake up call for both EA & DICE, because I know that DICE can do a lot better than this, if they were given the proper time, and dropped the creative & corporate types who have no desire to make a game like the ones fans have come to love this series for.

    This was a travesty of a game and I even feel like a 2/10 is a gift, do yourselves a favour and steer clear from this one, and adopt the "wait and see" policy before purchasing any games going forward, because if this game is any indication, we are in for agenda pushing, micro-transaction laden, unfinished games as a service, and the industry and its honest fans will suffer as a result.    … Expand

The game is super laggy the time to kill with certain weapons is stupid the maps are poorly designed and the memorable moments from past battlefield games just isn't there but anyway the game isn't too bad if you can get past all of this you have a solid game.     Played every BF game, noticed the problems start in BF1. BFV is just a continuation of the "new" battlefield gameplay mechanics, where it's Battlefront with a different skin. "oh i got killed by a plane, COOL!" "Oh a grenade blew up like 30ft away and I died, COOL". But now BF has that new Woke feeling, and that only makes it worse. I don't understand how battlefield switched to being soPlayed every BF game, noticed the problems start in BF1. There were so many times on earlier games where there weren't a lot of no-win scenarios, if you had the skill, you could outperform the other team players and win or have a good K/D. Today's battlefield is like a Michael Bay movie, pretty but really flawed. EA here's a free tip from a stupid console gamer: You will make more money with going casual, but that will completely drop off over time, because those same casual players don't give an f. They will go play Fortnite or Minecraft or some other game @ the drop of a hat. Thanks for alienating your player base so well, since I guess that's one less game for me to completely immerse myself in and actually buy every title. Tanks are made for aggressive play and to push the enemy lines, get a 10 kill streak then die but in BFV all people do is sit at the back of the map with either a Flankpanzer or a Tiger (depending on faction, tank types may vary) and snipe you from a range of which you would have to be extremely lucky to even get a damaging hit off on the vehicle. People are toxic and if you get a decent trickshot kill on them, they will start messaging you with things like "f*ck you ur sos bad dgget a life noobob haxiiter". I have since started to turn off all Xbox notifications whenever I play this. This might just all be my bad luck but it is my opinion on the game and right now, for the love of god, do not even consider buying this bs. I don't know much about coding but I could still make a better game than this while I'm sleeping. Almost forgot that this is not historically accurate in many ways, look on YT for further discrepancies such as Tiger tanks being used too early in the war. The most prominent part of what makes this not-historically-accurate is the fact there are women in this game. I cannot think of any women that were in front line combat. The most I know about women being part of the fight was when Russia started recruiting them as snipers. (if I remember correctly). Save yourself money, sanity and having to deal with this by simply getting BF4 instead. It was released 5 years earlier and the game is actually pretty damn good. Thank god I only paid $30 for this low quality Battlefield 1 WW2 DLC. That'll be all from me for now.… Expand

This is not the fifth part of the Battlefield series - this is DLC to Battlefield 1.     Its frustrating, a meatgrinder. Most of the time you are dead. Bombers are extreme Powerfull. Time to kill is too short. 2 of 8 maps are good. Dice did a very bad Job. Ich would give this **** peace of software back, if i could.

    WARNING! Do not make the same mistake I made. I bought it in the MS store for 35 euro's thinking that is a nice offer and how bad can BF5 be? And yes I should have know better, BF5 is the most horrible BF ever. . It is like someone at dice and ea decided to change the BF5 series in a game suited for small children and this is how this game plays like. It,s terrible, graphics are very badWARNING!     Evidently they have forgotten to add vehicles to this Battlefield game, one of the cornerstones of the series. I guess they'll add those in 6-8 months when Dice finally gets this pile of garbage running like it should. I am really totally and utterly disappointed with this entry.

    Then the bugs... oh the bugs... About a MONTH into the game’s lifespan and it still has a ridiculous amount of MENU glitches that result in a restarting of the game. I emphasize menu glitches because these are the simplest things that needed to be fixed and yet they aren’t.
    The lighting is terrible. You could be in the same room as a person and barely see them.
    The spawns are brutal.
    The maps are some of the most underwhelming and jumbled maps I’ve seen in BF history.
    The war stories are extremely inaccurate and even if they were purely fictional they would still suck.
    Don’t get me started with the sjw bullsh.t. I have never seen such hamfisted SJW crap within one product in the gaming industry. In the process of hamfisting SJW crap, they do so by literally ignoring those who sacrificed their lives only to rewrite history for their own political agenda. I was playing bf4 the other day and I thought to my self I’m glad the map flood zone exists so the world can come together and definitely say this is the worst map of all time. Then Dice went and made an entire game worse than that. I have played bf since the beginning and bf1 and 5 are just god awful.

I've already gone back to battlefield 4 and have no faith in this game, of course this game has a 79 from critcs, they are paid for their reviews and want to keep receiving early copies.     Pretty cheesy. Been playing about a week or two now and the same handful of players are always ruining the fun. Crappy developer has no online report system so there's no way to even tell these brain dead developers. Nice graphics I guess.

    Par exemple, de grands niveaux mais sans véhicule disponible, obligent à crapahuter comme un crétin d’un bout à l’autre de ce putain de niveau ; ensuite, l’introduction de l’infiltration (heureusement optionnelle) est à côté de la plaque et totalement antinomique de ce jeu de tir pour décérébrés ; c’est en outre si mal fait et si inexploitable qu’on s’en bat l’oeil pour rester poli.

    Il reste la technique très réussie et spectaculaire, à 60 im/s sans coup férir qui plus est : ça ne vaut pas une messe mais bien un bon point ! malgré des temps de chargement très longs, cependant. Mais que c’est rapidement lourdingue, ces « niveaux » sans aucun lien en guise de campagne ! des « récits de guerre » qu’ils appellent ça… Mais au fait, maudit Battletron, tu n’entends rien ? c’est la poubelle qui crie ton nom ! alors vas-y voir… pour voir.    … Expand

    Um jogo que não tem nada a ver com a realidade da segunda guerra mundial. Inserindo mulheres onde nunca teve no front. Perdendo totalmente a noção da realidade e da história correta. Não vale a pena.

    I've been purchasing battlefield games since 1942 came out in the early 2000s. But this is the biggest let down ever period. The constant updates that screw us over and over to make it feel like a call of duty generic over all terrible fps.Clearly dice/ EA could care less about there loyal customer base do not buy / play this awful game until they listen and fix this terrible game .

The only problem with that however, is that the story mode is also good in every other Battlefield game. To put it simply, it's not a horrible game, just a MASSIVE SCAM to anyone who has ever played the other Battlefield titles.     Game mechanics are terrible, its usually a 50/50 chance of crashing when changing maps. Guns are copy and pasted from BF1 and they couldve added some cool guns like the Panzershrek or the Russian PPSH. Couldnt imagine a posh English woman chucking dynamite onto a tiger, although that would be awesome to witness. Overall, totally missed opportunity and a damn shame.

    After spending 3 years making Battlefield 1 a decent experience, they decided to reinvent the wheel with NONE of the community requested features added to this new title. After 500+ hours playing this game (only because I'm a die-hard Battlefield fan) I can definitively say that this game is a cash grab and isn't worth your money.

    A solid game that manages to ruin well rounded mechanics with: horrendous maps, a stupid revive system, a historically false (and wrong) feminism. The game is a solid 7/10, but the whole “women fought too, and people with prosthesis too!” Thing ruined it.

    Gameplay: 8/10
    Graphics: 9/10
    Maps: 3/10
    New elements: 3/10

    Boring campaign mixed with generic multiplayer and terrible historical inaccuracies. Just a disappointing follow up to the amazing battlefield 1 and a waste of £45.

    It’s unfinished, but I’m highly optimistic that it will improve as new content releases and its Battlefield multiplayer at its finest, and that alone may sell the game for the longtime veteran considering what’s to come. I very reluctantly recommend Battlefield V in its current state, but I must stress my disappointment that EA and DICE willing released a game that feels kind of unfinished.

    What's here is enough to be going on with, but we'll have to wait till next year's updates and in particular, that possibly seismic battle-royale mode, to discover whether this is truly a Battlefield that stands apart. [Jan 2019, p.114]

    If you’re a fan of Battlefield then there is every reason to jump in with this year’s title, but if you want to experience the game as the developers have obviously intended, I suggest you hold off, enjoy the other amazing games released this year and come back to Battlefield V in about six months’ time when it’s no longer in its current state of being a glorified beta with a triple-A price tag.
