If your like me and you bought the premium pass then you will feel like this is a good start to BF1 DLC package. The 4 maps are well designed and 5 new primary weapons are also well done. I will say that I was also expecting one or two secondary weapons to be included as well. As there is not much choose for french secondary weapons with in the game. The 4 maps are well designed and 5 new primary weapons are also well done. I will say that I was also expecting one or two secondary weapons to be included as well. As there is not much choose for french secondary weapons with in the game. It also includes new mele weapons and also include mele weapons to be unlocked via puzzle pieces. I think they went abit of board with the mele weapons although I would of preferred more guns. The only real downside to this DLC is having to unlock the weapons. Some are more easily unlocked than others and some are abit of a pain. For example having to kill 50 enemys with one specif mele weapon to unlock just one of the mele seems to hard a changle and will probably take most people quite a few weeks of game-play to unlock all the new weapons. The is also other changes like get 5 headshotts in a round with a certain gun is will defiantly frustrate some people. However some people will like the challenge of unlocking new stuff. It will defiantly really bug some people that they will probably never unlock some weapons. To put a warning out there THE WEAPONS ARE HARD TO UNLOCK DO NOT BUY THIS DLC IF YOU WANT INSTANT ACCESS TO ALL THE WEAPONS IT WILL TAKE YOU MANY MANY HOURS TO UNLOCK ALL THE WEAPONS.

Other downside is the new maps make the normaps actually seems quite bad. I mean the maps few much more like a ww1 setting and by setting the verdun maps in 1916 they didn't actually limit themselfs but actually found new ways to make the game execting with new Artillery and good map design such as in 'Verdun heights'. I think dice can learn alot from this that not every operation and map has to be set in 1918 and that not ever operation needs a behemoth although the behemoth in 'Beyond the marnie' Is cool the 'Devils anvil' was very refreshing to see a new type of map design that actually capture the essence of ww1 much better than other else in BF1 yet.

One of the best expansion packs in a long while, They Shall Not Pass delivers excellent gameplay, and captures the spirit of World War I better than anything thus far.

Battlefield 1 already had plenty of content to enjoy for many months but its first expansion seems necessary to all Battlefield players. They Shall not Pass is set on the French front, one of the most affected of the First World War. Four huge and complete maps are waiting for you in an almost indispensable DLC.
