    Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is a solid pick for those who are looking for a nostalgia trip as well as anyone that missed out the first time and is needing a fun local co-op game to play. There are many aspects of the game that haven't aged well, but the fun factor trumps a lot of those issues. Plus, the game gives players plenty of bang for their buck, with a ton to do in the main story and some unlockable content, including a Gauntlet mode and fan favorite character Drizzt Do'Urden. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance was a great game in 2001 and it's still a ton of fun to play 20 years later.

    Don't get us wrong, if this was cheaper, we'd be recommending this in a heart beat, despite our reservations. It's a great trip down memory lane, with some addictive combat that still holds up today. But when you can pick up more modernised and arguably better games for the same price, it makes the trip to Baldur's Gate one that's not worth breaking the piggy bank until a sale.

    Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance is a good game; one that is enjoyable almost despite itself. The visuals are very old-skool - and that’s being kind - the animation is ropey and fights don’t ever feel balanced, but it still provides a decent amount of fun; all helped along by the story that unfolds.

    A formerly excellent game brought down significantly by a poor remaster with barely any upgrades to sell it to a new audience, at a price that’s a little too high for what the game is. Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance still has a great, classic DnD story and setting, with an excellent musical score, but the experience is marred by technical issues that range from disappearing sound effects and frame rate drops to frequent crashes.

    This is a great port/ remaster in every single way. They have captured the mood and feel of the origional, but it looks better than ever. IThis is a great port/ remaster in every single way. They have captured the mood and feel of the origional, but it looks better than ever. I booted the origional game on Xbox and played them side by side and this updated version is great. I thought tbe origional had more rumble , but i was wrong, must be the Norath games.. I love SnowBlind Studios games.. Ive been playing

    All their games,, consistantly for 2 decades. I love their stuff. The way they make their combos flow, the interesting level design, their pacing and progression that keeps the player engaged from begining to end.. And the way they used the hardware to get the best feeling in combat. .. Tis is a perfect port imo. 4K 60 on PS4 pro.. Stable performance and most importantly "" NO Censorship"".. This is the exact game we got on OG Xbox running and looking modern..
    Awsome work by SQUARE ONE studios,, this is what a modern port should be, except with the rumble odd course.. The game its self is the definitive perfect action RPG. Sure the North games surpassed BG DA in most ways, but this was the furst and most iconic. They dont make games like this anymore.
