    Bottom line is that this is a game that does not translate well to consoles. Its a point and click.....plain and simple. Attractive graphics and cute story but frustratingly boring for those with a controller in their hands. At one point I just decided to follow along with youtube videos just to get the achievements.

    Creators couldn't have been bothered with making proper console port, which makes it absolutely disgusting to control. "smart" cursor that snaps to clickable objects actually makes things even worse. Also, even though this game has almost completely static graphics it takes about a second or two to load each scene which is outrageous on a device that has 8GB of RAM. Two last things that made this game absolutely annoying for me were: final puzzle when you had to return to every octopus-y thing to figure out passcode and puzzles with fixing this stupid rotating toy when you can't hear the melody because of a crying baby. I ended up muting the game and bruteforcing these puzzles.… Expand

    It's fun to look at, has some ridiculous puzzles to solve and has the capacity to charm. I'd recommend taking this adventure for a spin over a weekend, though have a pad of paper handy to make note of anything out of the ordinary along with bit of patience. Just make sure to hang in there until the end. Even with the potholes and speed bumps, its worth the trip.

    Amikrog gets a lot of praise for its ease of use, its visual style, and soundtrack. Yet its puzzles seem lacking or confusing. Some are just frustrating. None of the puzzles felt really inspired or gave me that “AHA” feeling. Instead, it just felt like I was going through the motions or getting lucky.

    Armikrog on the Xbox One isn’t as good an experience as it was on the PC, which still wasn’t perfect by any means. Its puzzles aren’t particularly strong, the control scheme is problematic, and it has the odd technical issue, but yet for fans of the genre it’s still worth a playthrough if only for the beautiful audio and visuals and likeable characters.
