    Animal Shelter Simulator grants you the opportunity to tackle the challenging but also highly rewarding task of running a refuge for strays and rescues. Witness firsthand how much effort goes into helping abandoned and injured animals as you handle a number of tasks necessary for your shelter to operate smoothly.

    Clean them
    Your rescues will need to take plenty of steps on the path to improved health, and good hygiene is the very first one. Get your hands a little dirty so that their paws stay clean and their spirits soar high.

    Protect them
    There's a bit of a wild side to every critter out there and it'll be your job as a responsible caretaker not to let it break out in any nasty fashion. Manage the animals well and keep the peace among the residents of your refuge.

    Take them for a walk
    What better way to burn off all that excess energy than a good, old-fashioned trot out in the fresh air? Keep your animals stimulated and entertained. You can be sure they'll be starved for attention!

    Animal Shelter Simulator is a fun but simple simulation title. With basic mechanics and repetitive gameplay, this won't test veteran gamers. However, I enjoyed its casual approach and the cute pets.

    We expected to have our heartstrings tugged like we were playing a John Lewis advert. By the end of Animal Shelter Simulator, we were yawning in the destitute cats and dogs’ faces.

    As for a recommendation, I can’t give you one as I wouldn’t buy Animal Shelter Simulator after experiencing it. I would give it another try if they worked on the user experience more, fixed the bugs and seemingly big glitches that make it unplayable. I feel like they missed the mark on this one and it’s disappointing. This concept I could see gamers of all ages enjoying, and I personally love this genre for their relaxed vibes. I was looking forward to matching animals with people, sending them off to their new homes and expanding my shelter to be a mega shelter, but I think I’m going to lock this one up and move on with my next venture.

    It is rare to test a game that manages the feat of failing on all aspects. While offering us a borderline playable experience due to its many glitches it ALSO conveys a morally questionable message despite its good initial intentions. It turns out that Animal Shelter Simulator manages to do this non-sense with absurd brilliancy and a rare kind of talent. Everything within it is messed up in a sort of consistent way that borders on perfection.
