If the game had shipped through Microsoft’s Arcade service for perhaps 800 pts (ten bucks) then I could easily recommend a purchase. As it stands selling this game at the full price tag of $60 and not even offering it as a budget title for $40 or better yet $20 this game simply isn’t worth your time or your money.

Electronic Gaming MonthlyAs a fan of both shooters and fighters, I dig the shooter-fighter mashup concept--it's just a shame that it really doesn't work as well as you'd imagine. [July 2007, p.89]

If you're looking for something different to pass the time, I could suggest you try and rent this one. There's no way in hell I'd pay full price for it though.
-
The multiplayer needs more than one-on-one deathmatches.
-
None of the quirks and flaws in the game would have been quite so damning if it weren’t for UbiSoft’s insane decision to release WarTech at the full $60 price tag.
-
There is little in the way of discernable strategy or skill, the controls are never explained, and they’re unresponsive once you do figure them out. If this game had a head, it should hang it in shame for claiming to be part of the 360 library.
-
The biggest problem with all of this combat is that while it may sound cool and complicated, it’s boring, unchallenging, and requires absolutely no tactical consideration.
-
WarTech: Senko no Ronde is a trite piece of airy piffle with nothing meaty to recommend it.
