  1. Warhammer: Battle March alienates mainstream gamers with its unfriendly mission structure, drab graphics and confusing control scheme.
  2. The basics for a great rendition of Warhammer are there, but they’re buried too deeply in the mire of frustration to be appreciated.
  3. The overall feel of the gameplay is average, bordering on bad.
  4. The graphics are OK for a real-time strategy game and Jeremy Soule's musical score is outstanding, but that's not enough to salvage this mess.

    A tragically missed opportunity.

This sort of do-nothing port is only going to alienate players and further reinforce the stereotype that the genre simply doesn't work on console systems.
  7. ”Warhammer: Battle March” doesn’t come close to being an enjoyable game. The core game play while basic is too repetitive, and the wonky controls will test your patience quickly.

There are detailed tutorials however they are not fully assistive. I had to reload the game several times to learn everything because the tutorial verbally tells you what to do but if you missed what was said there was no print on the screen to get you back to what it was you were supposed to have learned. On top of this the manual was equally missing a good description of controls. Another shortcoming was upgrading your units. No where can you assess whether it is cheaper to repair a unit or buy replacements and what this would mean towards the retained strength and moral of your units. When I picked up treasure from the battle field I couldn't figure out how to equip it from one unit to another. Can you even do that? This game also had bland visuals but I didn't really knock it for that. Overall you can do a lot in this game the rts outcomes and the player choices available to customize your gameplay is extremely decent. Unfortunately you have to be very dedicated to learning this game with your own mental fortitude. Full Review »
