May 27, 2014What Sheep does so elegantly is remind us that life is rarely as tidy as Snow's rules would allow, and that "right" is an ever-shifting concept. It gives us absurd characters like talking pigs and childhood boogeymen and makes them as real as we are, so that we ourselves feel like citizens of Fabletown, scraping to get by.

Jun 3, 2014Bigby is in a tough spot and the wait for episode 5 will be a painful one but seeing this tale wrap up is something I’m frothing at the mouth for.
-
May 27, 2014In Sheep’s Clothing continues on the brutal and downright insane path that Smoke and Mirrors began. It’s a little on the short side, but Telltale uses the time to maximum effect through heightened drama and expansion of the game’s world and society. It’ll leave you excited for the final episode and angry that you can’t play it immediately after finishing this one.
-
Jun 5, 2014For the first time in the series, Episode 4 offers you a look behind the scenes of Fabletown. With Bigby still recovering from his wounds, he keeps on searching for the Crooked Man, and the tension this generates makes this one of the strongest episodes yet.

Official Xbox Magazine UKJul 16, 2014Things are heating up...[Aug 2014, p.85]
-
May 30, 2014This chapter allows the player to unveil a few mysteries but lacks the tension that was ubiquitous in the former episode. Nevertheless, there are some memorable scenes to be a part of and it is definitely feels like the conclusion is going to be epic.
-
May 29, 2014The episode sets up for a genuinely interesting looking finale, one with the potential to make up for some of the missteps the season has taken on the way there. The fourth episode is the most compelling, from a plot and character perspective, since the first, and there’s one fight scene midway through that manages to be genuinely exciting. It’s also rather short though, ending just before things really ramp up.

X-ONE Magazine UKAug 18, 2014The story here has been sublime throughout, but as a game The Wolf Among Us still feels remote. [Issue#114, p.84]
-
Jun 14, 2014While there's room to improve, The Wolf Among Us has remained stylish and enjoyable since the beginning, and I'm eager to see how it all ends.
-
Jun 3, 2014Granted, in terms of gameplay there's still really not too much here and I don't think Telltale is about to change that. But if you can live with that, the story will continue to suck you in like little else.
-
May 29, 2014As a story, then, The Wolf Among Us is coming together nicely. As a game, it still feels remote, a little snagged on the same repetitive systems. With The Walking Dead, Telltale showed us a new way to experience stories via a joypad. As it takes on more and more projects, it really needs to show that its new formula is as flexible as it is formidable.
-
Jun 27, 2014Exposition-heavy, yet light on actual plot development, In Sheep’s Clothing is perhaps the weakest episode of The Wolf Among Us to date.
-
Jun 4, 2014I have no doubt that when everything is said and finished, this chapter will prove to be important to telling the story as a whole, it just lacks the depth and impact I have come to expect from The Wolf Among Us up until now.
-
May 28, 2014Inconsequential and frustratingly restrictive, this is by far the worst episode of the season – and you can only hope the finale will be good enough to make up for it.
