  1. While the game is frustrating in a number of parts, it's still rather fun to play, if perhaps a bit too much for the young audience it's aimed at.
  2. It rarely feels repetitive, is often inspiring and immersive, and takes the Spyro franchise along an interesing path. I'm somewhat biased because of the nostalgic feelings I get from the Spyro franchise, but I will say I only stopped playing this game a few times from start to finish. I simply didn't want to stop playing. That should tell you something.
  3. Ultimately, The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon is a well put-together platformer, especially for younger gamers.
  4. It’s a supernova of colour, particularly on a HD setup.
  5. Spyro fans and gamers in the target age group are going to love Dawn of the Dragon and don’t be surprised if the older siblings in the house and even the parents get caught up in the magic that is Spyro. It really is fun from start to finish.
  6. The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon is an overall fun single or multiplayer experience for anyone that wants to rejoin the adventures of the legendary purple dragon.

A big, enjoyable adventure, marred only by some technical issues. [Christmas 2008, p.64]
  8. In conclusion, this game is on the mark for the fans and will take the average gamer around 10 - 15 hours to successfully complete.

How is this game scoring so lowly on here? Are you people without heart? Like what Black Eyed Pea sang on that song, Where is the Love? IHow is this game scoring so lowly on here? Are you people without heart? Like what Black Eyed Pea sang on that song, Where is the Love? I played this game and it is truely magical, in the truest form of the word. The dragon steals the show with his fire breething capabilities. I like how in the options menu you can change the sound levels and the music levels (if you so desire). I have been blogging about games for close to 12 years now and I still find it hard to believe that more games like this arent bean made. The developers really took it up a notch on this one. The blew it outta the park and hit a home run. Its a total touchdown, a goalfest a summer barbecue. My only real problem with it is the lack of 4 player support as this wood have made it into my top 4 best games ever. Anyway, i only rented this game and played it for about 2 hours so the ending may have ruined it completely but the opening cinematic was awesome. Full Review »

Graphics are near realistic in most of the game. I still listen to the soundtrack while I use the laptop. This game was the most amazing thing I have ever played. The only word that can truly describe this game, is magical. Playing this game is like being IN the game, having the adventure yourself. Everything about this game is just right. The game doesn't hold your hand for too long, after you have learned everything you need to know, it lets you go and gives you a chance to do things your own way. Replay value is very high, it never gets boring! Even the cover art is beautiful! This game is everything you could wish for from a Spyro reboot, and more, and the only thing that disappointed me was that it had to end! This game is possibly the best game ever made. Full Review »
