all and all a great game. This port is top notch. I would have given it a 10 , but having to stretch the screen to 16.9 my self hurts. I was hoping they would have scaled it more 16.9. Oh well still a great game.

Good port of a timeless classic. the xbox live multiplayer is great aside from the losers that refuse to play for fear of losing rating points. the single player however, is ridiculously flawed...the AI is just too difficult. even the most seasoned SF2 veteran will be pulling thier hair out in rage when facing the cold cheap ruthlessly hard computer. a great addition to XBLA. just makeGood port of a timeless classic. the xbox live multiplayer is great aside from the losers that refuse to play for fear of losing rating points. the single player however, is ridiculously flawed...the AI is just too difficult. even the most seasoned SF2 veteran will be pulling thier hair out in rage when facing the cold cheap ruthlessly hard computer. a great addition to XBLA. just make sure you have a gold account or friends to play against as the singleplayer game is the single most frustrating gaming experience in years. The computer is cheap, but no more cheap than I remember the original console ports to the SNES and Genesis being. The online play is great but you have to deal with the regular mix of nice people & racist/immature people that get mad if they lose. Beating people on this game could drop your XBL approval rating something fierce as there is an immediate option to leave a review of the The computer is cheap, but no more cheap than I remember the original console ports to the SNES and Genesis being. The controls also don't port over to the x-box controller as well as they did the SNES & Genesis controllers. Moves that require a rotation of the analog stick or D-pad such as Ryu's fireball can frustrating to pull off, especially in a tight spot. But, quite frankly, it's Street Fighter! Online!!! And that's a blast. If you want a walk down memory lane, I highly suggest this title. Expand

A port of the classic Nintendo system with problems in the playability , the persistent desire to be a good player in the game is an impossible task to achieve. Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting is painfully fun, expect to see a lot of" You Lose " or whatever, not even on easy the AI lets you breath, is full retro perspective though. But get use to it back in the 90's everything was like that. Expand

How much you like this game will probably depend on your age. I was in high school when this came out, so it brought back great memories of mopping up the arcade floor with random punks. Online is probably laggy since it doesn't use GGPO, but since no one plays this anymore I don't know. If you can find at least 1 buddy for couch vs it's a blast. Pure, simple and perfect. (and only $5)

It's not worth getting for single-player. The AI is broken in a way that it will react and counter your moves by having the instant reaction times only an unthinking machine can have. [Issue #7, p.120]
  2. It's an old game, but it's still fun, and as long as you're not a tournament level player, you'll enjoy the game despite the slight hiccups during online play.
  3. Another very cool and nostalgic online treat is the Quarter Match mode that allows players to relive the days of lining up quarters waiting to take on the winner of any match in “I got next” style competition. The online lobby displays a coin/icon for each player along with their Gamertag and the order in which they are in line to play.
