Quibbles and gripes aside it's safe to say Star Wars fans have had to often put up with worse, with last year's abysmal Lightsaber Duels immediately springing to mind. The biggest flaw of Republic Heroes, other than its generally unlikable source material, is that it feels unfinished. As a result, poor execution mars what could have been a likable child-orientated platformer.

If you have such a child in your household, I would do everything in my power to ensure they never catch wind of this game.

This new Star Wars videogame doesn't make the most of the new generation power, but also is a boring and dull action game, with no variety in its contents.

Star Wars brand's strength is really timeless, but it's not enough to save a game which is really too easy and too rough around the edges to be considered really worth of a videogamer's time and money.

Whilst there is a lot of room for improvement, a lot, there is enjoyment to be had especially for a younger gamer in short bursts.

A good example of milking a franchise gone too far.

This Clone Wars game is not the ideal game. It has the potential, but it lacks the visual, the gameplay and the appeal. It's boring, repetitive and short, a game just for hardcore Star Wars lovers.

Disappointing controls, restricted gameplay and poor graphics are the key words of Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes.

It seemed impossible to mess up but sadly, that's exactly what they did.

Recommending Republic Heroes wouldn't be fair because it's simply a bad game, even for children. For parents who are looking to get their little Star Wars fan a present, steer clear of this one.
