TycoRCNov 30, 2008Nothing really new in terms of innovation, visuals weren't that great. Everyone and everything looks plastic. Quicktime events are kind of cool, but way overused (very frustrating at the end).
Part 2 was better, but also disappointing in some ways. Mainly I missed the richer fighting system of the first.
Overall I'd say Ultimate Spider-man was the best execution for spidey. -

bubaMay 7, 2007what is worse? to have a great game of a horrible film or having a horrible game of a great film?...the answer is: to have a horrible game of a horrible film. i pity the fools who made spiderman into a silly francise, he has lost all of his charm and humor not to mention a certain style and grace...all i hear is 'kachingg!!!' ,when i see spidey merchandise.

Dec 4, 2011Here is the same game process of the game series we know and hate. I don't understand the deal with these games and what possible benefit there is to them. It's not fun, clever, or even twisted. Just bland and boring, everything else is just average. So unrecommended.

JimY.May 4, 2007What a terrible bug-ridden mess of a game. Save $60 and see the movie 6 times.

Sep 11, 2015This game is just straight up boring (besides the web swinging). The story is awful, boss fights are an absolute joke, and the side missions are a waste of time.

Remember how good Spider-Man 2 was? Hang onto that feeling by not playing this game.

Electronic Gaming MonthlyWebslingin' remains the selling point, but the combat--although built from the ground up for this game--still consists of random button mashing. [July 2007, p.88]

New York looks great, but the camera inconsistencies and helter-skelter gameplay flow takes away all the good will that Spider-Man 2: The Game had built.
