A highly underrated game, this is an arcade purist's dream and a successful rebirth of a classic franchise. Its most common reason for low scoring reviews is its lack of features, but as a hardcore arcade game, that is entirely NORMAL. Trust me, if you want to win every challenge in this game you'll get more than your money's worth :)

A game like this depends more on difficulty and track design to ensure longevity, and it will have you pulling your hair out if you lack patience. It's all about memorizing every curve, just as it's always been.

I doubt that anybody who has given this game a low score has a love for Sega Rally or a respect for its pedigree... In truth, this is the best Sega Rally yet.

A fun arcade driving style game with nice graphics but there's a distinct lack of courses and the courses are short loops. The game's difficulty ramps up very quickly.

I'd shovelled a mint-load of coins into the arcade machine years ago, so the prospect of having an updated version on the 360 was too good to resist, especially as I spotted a nice deal with the Logitech steering wheel bundled with it. The game is marvellous - switch to the classic view from the bonnet and off you go! It's fast and furious - the computer opponents will be utterly ruthless and barge you about given the chance - and highly addictive. Definitely has that 'just one more go' factor. If you go wrong (and you invariably will) you're bounced back onto the track keeping the action moving at a breakneck pace. I've not tried this with the Xbox controller yet, so can't comment on how that handles, as it plays so well with the wheel - I can't let go of it! It won't please everyone (some people have complained about the handling) and it is very tricky at first, but persevere and you've got a terrific racing game here - i.e. a racing game - not a mechanic sim! Turbo-charged fun! Expand

I love this game!!! It's sucked me in straight after I put a dvd into my xbox. Graphics are very good, (although some damage model would be nice) tunes quite all right, and above all pure arcade fun for everyone. It's good change from serious racers like forza or pgr. I like it more than burnout :) Excellent game!

This racing game is worth playing, especially if you've also played some of the older SEGA Rally games on the old Dreamcast. One positive thing is that there are more tracks to play. They may not be the longest rallies (nor too short like Riviera) but they all present a different challenge. Some of them are gravel; some of them are mixed with tarmac and gravel; So where are the all-road Rallies? Also, there are more cars to play, with some of the less common ones locked. Sadly, the only point I miss out on the game is the weather. While I have been rallying in the snow there's no rainfall, and it would have represented an even bigger challenge if that happened. Other than that, it's a game you wouldn't want to miss. Expand

This game is fun and well worth $7.20. The handling on the cars could be much better though. This game is an ok racing game and you might want it if you like racing. So i give it a 8.

SEGA Rally Revo is a very solid arcade rally game.

The vehicle handling is very fun, just as any good arcade racer should be.The vehicle selection is good, and there are plenty of championships to keep you busy throughout the game. The game is also pretty challenging, the AI will certainly make sure that you aren't running away with the race. One complaint is a lack of environments. The graphics are beautiful, with tiny details like deforming terrain looking superb on the 360,The framerate is smooth as butter.

The sound design and soundtrack are the only things that particularly lack in SEGA Rally Revo, they are both pretty bad to be honest.

Overall,SEGA Rally Revo is a great arcade racer.Highly recommended by yours truly.

  1. Sega Rally is easily the freshest arcade driving experiences to have emerged in years, providing more wide-eyed excitement in five minutes than most games manage in five hours. Not since "Burnout 2" has a driving game stood out as so completely different to everything else, and provided so much instant, moreish entertainment to such a high technical standard.

A near flawless combination of old-school Sega magic and exciting new track deformation technology, Sega Rally effortlessly delivers a fast and accessible, yet deep and competitive arcade racing game that should appeal to both diehard Sega fans and newcomers alike.

The best game to carry the name since '95, but more than that - it's the best straight racing game you'll find on this console and indeed one of the best pure racers you'll have played in years...Every second is a second you'll spend on the edge of your seat. Thrilling. [Nov 2007, p.74]
