Probably the worst fighting game available on the 360, and it's a real shame too. As a long time veteran of the series, I had hoped to see our heroes make a much better transition into 3D. It is hardly what you would call a button-masher, but neither can you give it credit for being technical, either. The input window is a bit too lenient to feel like you are in precise control of the character, and yet the animation itself lacks any type of fluidity. Perhaps SNK should have abandoned the 3D idea altogether, and given us another 2D fighter, like the rest of their excellent games. I recommend leaving this one alone. Expand

Samurai Shodown Sen is a competent weapon-based fighting game with some unique gameplay mechanics. Unfortunately, it suffers from far too many shortcomings to make it worth recommending.
  2. After hours upon hours of competitive gameplay, Samurai Shodown: Sen didn’t serve enough entertainment value to satisfy my tastes. It’s a shame since the series has long been one of the more popular franchises among hardcore fighting fans.

Casual players will have a hard time jumping in and having some quick fun due to the game's rigid combo system, unforgiving CPU, and lackluster training mode, and the competitive fighting community has expressed no interest in this game at all.
