Mar 29, 2011The graphics arent as terrible as the critics say nor are they amazing as a die hard Samurai Shodown fan would say. They are average at best. The gameplay is rather stiff and slightly difficult, which becomes frustrating in a fighting game. Its not horrible nor amazing. Just an ok game that couldve been better....or worse.

Apr 13, 2016The game will note that it takes time to be ripe. But once you're playing the truth is that it is grateful. There are many games of this type much better but not as bad as they say.

Oct 20, 2022the game is ok and fun enough to at least give it a try. it's not too hard or too easy to play either

Samurai Shodown Sen is a competent weapon-based fighting game with some unique gameplay mechanics. Unfortunately, it suffers from far too many shortcomings to make it worth recommending.
-
After hours upon hours of competitive gameplay, Samurai Shodown: Sen didn’t serve enough entertainment value to satisfy my tastes. It’s a shame since the series has long been one of the more popular franchises among hardcore fighting fans.
-
Casual players will have a hard time jumping in and having some quick fun due to the game's rigid combo system, unforgiving CPU, and lackluster training mode, and the competitive fighting community has expressed no interest in this game at all.
