  1. The game didn’t take me the 20 hours the makers claimed it would to complete, but it definitely saw more playtime than many physical releases that cost three times as much and delivered one-third the enjoyment.
  2. However, if you're already a Sam & Max fan then buying the game should be a no-brainer. If you're new to the Freelance Detective duo but enjoy slightly subversive and twisted storylines delivered with wit and thinly veiled satire, you should seriously consider introducing yourself to their world.
  3. Sam & Max Save the World will give you about 10-12 hours of enjoyment the first time through, and the addition of achievements is good motivation to hunt for some extra tidbits you may not have known were in the game otherwise.
  4. Sam & Max Save the World is not just the funniest video game of the year, it's the funniest thing I've seen on my television screen in ages.
  5. The first season of Sam and Max is one of the funniest and most enjoyable experiences I've had playing games, and having it available on Xbox Live Arcade for just twenty bucks is an incredible steal.
  6. This game is worth the purchase for any person who has a 360 and the internet to download the game, even if it is still a little rough around the edges.
  7. Funny games are still something of a rarity, so even though these episodes of Sam & Max originated on the PC two years ago, they still totally stand up against more recent releases. Also, with six different episodes to move through, you'll probably end up spending something like eight to 12 hours playing through them all.
  8. Stays funny for the duration of the game and stays faithfull to the original PC game. A worthy addition to your harddrive.

If you can get over some of its geriatric issues (I'm not an ageist, I swear), you'll get plenty of enjoyment out of Sam & Max Save the World. Its quirky fun and offers gamers a change of pace from traditional XBLA fare.
  10. Sam & Max Save the World is undoubtedly one of the funniest games I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing. It’s as easygoing a game as you’re ever going to get, and provides a superb change of pace from the barrage of space-marines-with-guns titles that seem to plague the Xbox 360.

For 15 to 20 hours of laughs and gameplay, it's a steal. [Sept 2009, p.85]
  12. Because humor is subjective, Sam & Max Save the World is pretty much a textbook example of that principle, so it’s best that you try out the demo first to see if this game is right up your alley.
  13. For fans of adventure gaming, episodic content and murderous-rabbit-without-a-conscience adventures, Sam & Max is right up your street and unfortunately one of the few such titles available.

I like point and click, for some reason this one was just not that great, not really funny either.,
