XboxCheeseJun 30, 2008Fun game but don't expect a triple A game.

ApocalypseBrownJun 11, 2008Good game that gets boring after a few hours. The set pieces are awesome and quite fun to execute, while the hand to hand fighting is probably one of the best seen on this generation. But the shooting, driving and general A.I. is abysmal. Which makes the game unplayable after time. Good, but six hours too long.

Jan 12, 2011A solid 7. The slightly tedious armed combat is offset by the great set pieces, and varied take down animations. The shooting sections want for a targetted zoom, but it's good enough. It'll only take 6 hours start to finish, and it's an easy 1000 achievement points. A solid 7.

Jan 31, 2012Melee combat feels brutal and satisfying, but the same cannot be said for the shooting mechanics. Shooting feels like you just shot a thick pillow in the shape of a human. A generic shooter made better by the melee combat, I guess give it a try if it is cheap. Very dated.

Dec 22, 2022A re-telling of The Bourne Identity that perfectly captures the feel of the movie. Despite some clunky mechanics, it's a fast and fun mix of shooting, brawling and QTE moments. I would compare it to the James Bond video game "Bloodstone". The repetitive game design kept me from scoring it higher. I would rate this with a 7.5 out of 10.

At around 10 to 15 hours, The Bourne Conspiracy isn't exactly a brief experience, but its addictive and gratifying combat can certainly make it feel so.
-
It's not that often you encounter a game that mixes genres and still manages to be above-average in quality.
-
The Bourne Conspiracy, despite its shortcomings, is an example of a very good movie-licensed game.
