Ultimately, Raven Squad has its share of problems, there is no denying that. On the same token, I can't say I didn't have a great time playing through it, even though it only took one sitting of about 5-6 hours.

As the E3 2009 RTS Award Winner from a couple of sites, you would have expected this game to rival what else was shown and there were some amazing games shown. Now we get to finally play the final game and it fails to even come close to greatness.

Raven Squad is not terrible but it ticks just about every box on the way to being decidedly average.

I recommend renting the game if you have even the slightest interest in either genre or if you find it at around the $30 mark then don't hesitate to indulge. However, don't expect it to change the way you play either type of game.
