If you have cash burning in your pocket and you have to pick a sports title to go with your shiny Kinect, your options are pretty limited. If you want a charming sports title, with replayability, humour by the bucket-load and a great use of motion controls, MotionSports is not that title.

In conclusion, Ubisoft's MotionSports It may not be accurate as a Kinect Sports but it's a valiant attempt at the developers to create something unique.

While there are still a lot of areas that could have been done better, Motion Sports: Play for Real is an adequate launch title that shows off the potential of Kinect.

As stated earlier, MotionSports: Play For Real is more of a complementary title to Kinect Sports than a competitive one.

On paper Motion Sports sounds like a good idea, with a wide variety of events to rival Kinect Sports.

There are plenty of unique games on offer here, but there's so many impediments to actually enjoying the game that the entire experience is dragged down. The far-too-frequent load time, and constant signing-in and picture-taking ensure that you're only actually playing about a quarter of the time.

You'd do better to get Kinect Sports instead. [Feb 2011, p.99]

MotionSports tries to differ from Kinect Sports with a realistic visual approach and more exotic and interesting sports, but it fumbles the execution delivering us an unentertaining and bland experience, partly due to imprecise controls too.

The lack of polish and the lag in between movements recognitions and videogame's inputs don't help in realizing MotionSports true potential. it's a pity since it's could have been one of the best Kinect launch titles.

    The game is Barely playable.
Most of the movement you make are not even registered on the crappy game, preventing you to complete a single task.

    The only Pro is graphics.
    The con ? Everything else!!!!

One of the worst games I've ever played, but I guess you can blame Kinect kind of. But holy crap this game sucks. Playing penalty shootout onOne of the worst games I've ever played, but I guess you can blame Kinect kind of. But holy crap this game sucks. Playing penalty shootout on this game is torture. I'm standing there for hours swinging my leg like a maniac cos this game barely registers any movement. And when I take it it fricken goes over the bar. The longest I'e been on this game is like 10 minutes, then I was just like **** it. And it cost £20, what a rip off, shouldn't even be a couple quid. Haven't touched this game in about three years, no exaggeration. What a pile of **** Full Review »
