Jan 3, 2011Motion Sports is unfortunately another piece of Kinect software that's closer to shovelware than triple-A. With 6 sports, most of which don't work fully, you'll be hard pushed to find more than a few hours of entertainment here.
-
Dec 21, 2010Its inconsistent controls, poor interface, and general lack of polish keep it from being the entertaining mini-game collection it could have been.
-
Dec 21, 2010With limited variety and motion controls that are far too problematic, MotionSports stumbles out of the gate like a washed-up athlete way past his prime.
-
Jan 7, 2011The best advice to any gamer looking for their next Kinect title from the small library of quality titles is to avoid MotionSports. Here's hoping that the team can take what they learned here and have time to build a sequel that carries out their agenda and also controls well.

X-ONE Magazine UKJan 6, 2011There isn't a single mini-game here that won't seem anachronistic three months from now. [Issue#67, p.90]
-
Jan 3, 2011Not even on the paper is Motion Sports as interesting as Kinect Sports, which is more fun and more polished than Ubisofts halfassed effort. It won't make you sweat for any other reason than frustration.
-
Jan 3, 2011Maybe Motionsports original idea, to make use of Kinect possibilites to offer a varied set of sport challenge. was a good one, but ultimately it has been poorly developed and executed, and control doesn't work well enough.
-
Jan 3, 2011What a mess! Ubisoft did a really bad job with Motion Sports. The sports selection is interesting, but the crazy problems with the Kinect interaction transform a potentially nice experience in a boring and frustrating game.
-
Games Master UKDec 29, 2010The real killer, though, is the amount of time wasted watching loading screens. [Jan 2011]
-
Dec 21, 2010If your biggest complaint about previous such entries is that they didn't include horseback riding, hang gliding or skiing, then MotionSports might get you in front of the TV for a weekend of flawed fun. Otherwise, we suggest leaving this one on the sidelines.
-
Dec 21, 2010Some nice visuals and a reasonably interesting selection of activities, however, MotionSports is rarely an enjoyable experience.
-
Jan 25, 2011Everything about this game is either bog-standard and forgettable (audio and graphics fall under this heading) or broken and un-enjoyable (nearly all of the actual gameplay).
-
Dec 21, 2010With deeply flawed motion controls and a number of other issues, MotionSports fumbles all its potential.
-
Official Xbox MagazineDec 13, 2010Spend your $50 on something--anything--else. [Jan 2011, p.81]
-
Dec 21, 2010Overall it's a very disappointing effort from Ubisoft and definitely not worth your time or money.
-
Dec 21, 2010Hopefully this is the last we'll see of the human d-pad experiment. I spend enough time under the thumb as it is.
-
Xbox World 360 Magazine UKDec 28, 2010More Bowel Motionsports. [Feb 2011, p.108]
-
Dec 21, 2010The Kinect might be going through something similar to what the Wii went through early on, but hopefully it gets through the growing pains... this one's gotta hurt.
-
Jan 2, 2011Awful has a new name…it's MotionSports.
-
Dec 21, 2010Although the graphics are adequate, at least in comparison to the rest of the game's failings, all this is really good for is making Kinect Sports look even better by comparison.
-
Dec 21, 2010Why bother playing this mess of a game when you could be playing Kinect Sports instead?
