I'm glad they made an effort to bring a baseball sim game to consoles but this game is terrible. I'm not sure they did one thing even ok, there is probably 15-20 major fixes that need to be addressed. Maybe they will put some effort into it for next year because i think there is a market for this stuff. The franchise mode in the show is way better than this piece of crap.

Not just bad, but bad on multiple fronts.

I'm a baseball fan, and based on the reviews here, I didn't expect a great, or even a good game. But I was surprised by a failure on so many levels: design, programming, and artistic. 1. Unfortunately, it mostly feels like you're being charged $40 for something that offers little beyond what you've seen in previous games' GM and Owner modes. [Feb 2009, p.84]
  2. The nuts and bolts of gameplay are apocalyptic failures, but the awfulness doesn't stop there. Managing games is utterly pointless. [Feb 2009, p.85]

There are a considerable number of issues holding MLB Front Office Manager back. Lack of three-team deals, a mediocre interface, and questionable AI logic are unacceptable even from a new IP. I hope 2K gives Front Office another go next year, because with some fixes to very obvious issues, this could be a great game.
