Oct 31, 2011There are hundreds of levels and multiple ways to play each one, plus a slick, futuristic soundtrack to add to the fact that, yes, you're manipulating a puddle of goo, and it feels revolutionary.
-
Oct 17, 2011Don't be thrown off by the unattractive title! You will get an innovative, challenging puzzler with nice music and decent graphics for hours of gameplay fun.
-
Nov 23, 2011In addition to the main Discovery mode you can also compete for times in Ghost mode or tackle the levels in the Challenge and Bonus modes where you are often required to complete the level with 100% of your mercury. There is plenty of content that easily makes this worth the $5 initial purchase and with the promise of more DLC and some that is already available; Mercury Hg is one of the better XBLA purchases this holiday season

Official Xbox Magazine UKNov 15, 2011So cheap our small complaints are trivial. [Dec 2011, p.101]
-
CD-ActionNov 9, 2011Unpretentious and very enjoyable game of rolling a drop of mercury through increasingly complex levels. [November 2011, p.83]
-
Nov 4, 2011It's cheap, it looks good, and it plays well, if you've got $5 and a few hours to kill you really can't go wrong with Mercury Hg.
-
Oct 5, 2011Mercury HG is not exactly a full blown successor in the series, but there's enough here to keep fans happy. And at the ridiculously low price of 400MS points it's definitely worth a try, even if you aren't a fan.
-
Oct 3, 2011For $4.99, you're getting an awesome game that will keep you occupied for some time. Even with the promise of DLC completely ignored (some is already available), there's plenty of content in Mercury Hg to keep you busy.
-
Oct 3, 2011Minor issues aside, this is a very fun title. Leaderboards, trying to beat your personal best times, and some unlockable bonus levels do add some replay value, and clever features (free look mode, the blob itself has a high cuteness factor) give the game some charm. If you're looking for a fun and breezy diversion, and an excuse to brush up on your knowledge of the periodic table, Mercury Hg is worth a look.
-
Oct 9, 2011Mercury Hg is a good game, that does not change the formula inherited from its predecessors. A good level design, but not extraordinary, is the only obstacle that prevents it from excellence.
