This title is a bigger sorprise for me, I wait that the title be other boring shooter game, but what happen? good graphics, adictive gameplay, incredible controls, funny music do that this title be one of my favorites.

It's quite ironic that this game trumpets the achievements of Chris and Tim Stamper, considering that both of these men (the founders of Rare) are no longer with Rare... and it shows. Sure, the visuals look nice, but the gameplay is very tired and the camera has a mind of its own. It must have taken some serious effort to screw up the camera in a 2D game. At $5, the price is right... At $5, the price is right... but you'll be better off putting that $5 toward the Shivering Isles expansion. On a scale from 'ouch!' to 'wow!', I give it a 'meh'. Expand

If it weren't fr the constantly shifting zoom of the gameplay window this would be a must have for many XBLA fans. It is still quite fun, but the view shift near to far in refueled mode making later levels very frustrating since the enemies move faster than your POV range.

  1. If you tossed "Geometry Wars," "Lunar Lander" and "Joust" into a digital blender then the result would come pretty close to Jetpac Refueled.
  2. This basic game receives some nice updates in its "refuelled" mode, but it's still best suited for those who hold some shred of nostalgia for the original game.
  3. A cheap, but rather lovely remake of the simple shooter that kicked off Rare's legacy. It's a wonderfully playable link to UK gaming's past, and well worth the 400 points Microsoft's charging for it, but way too repetitive to keep you amused for long.
