So after 1 day of owning the 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 and about 6 hours of gameplay, I have so far ascertained that this game, for the most part, contains the pleasures we all enjoyed in the first iteration that was Horizon 1, yet doesn't really quite offer more besides an updated car roster and a newer, expanded territory.

Truth be told, I wasn't expecting much more than what was aforementioned in the first sentence, since Horizon 2 (which I'll refer to as H2 from here on out) is still using the Horizon (H1) game engine, not to mention, is obviously running on last gen hardware. So the content cuts and stagnant graphics are to be expected. What had me worried was a different design studio was tasked with programming this title (Sumo Digital) and not Playground (left to focus solely on the H2 XBone title). This move could potentially muddle the physics and gameplay that I found critical in the first title, that made Horizon so fun.

For the most part, it's all still there. Some gripes I do have may seem trivial, yet don't detract from the game play too much. Mainly it's Sumo's exclusion of a clutch pedal when using a wheel. I currently use the Fanatec CSR wheel with CSR Elite pedals mounted to a Playseat Evolution seat/frame and in the controls menu when configuring the setup, there simply is no clutch pedal pictured and available, unlike H1. The game is still 100% playable, yet it detracts from some "realism" and more importantly, driver control (so hooning is a bit more challenging).

Also the paddle shifters which stand in as the "LB" and "RB" buttons in menus only function as LB & RB buttons on certain screens, limiting access in the pause menu. This could simply be a bug in the Fanatec firmware i'm using however.

Now, after reading CarrierOfTime's review, I personally find his expectations too high for H2 on the 360 platform. Hardware and memory constraints dictate what we as 360 users end up getting. It's an exercise of give and take. A dialed back damage model, less "radio stations", emptier fields, etc. etc. are likely because of the 360's limitations. What we get in exchange are more cars, a larger map, more driving space and most importantly, a new Horizon experience when compared with H1. Gameplay tweeks with the unlockable "perks" shake things up and give xp points from stylistic driving more relevance, by allowing players to tweek how they progress with certain perks.

I gave this game a 7/10 because although it's not as pretty and unshackled as the XBone version, it's still fun, especially with the Fanatec CSR wheel setup. It's basically unfair to compare this game to the Xbone copy because of the hardware differences. Compare 360's H2 to H1, and you'll appreciate what Sumo Digital was able to achieve: A beautiful (for 360), fun, and energetic driving game thats 100% Forza and 0% boring.

Horizon 2 Xbox One is a brilliant game (according to YouTube) but I kept my 360 and bought a PS4. Horizon 2 Xbox 360, however, is horrible. It was developed by SUMO, the guys behind the Sonic & SEGA Racing games (which were quite good) and it looks worse than Horizon 1. The handling models for me is worse as well. Also, barn finds are too easy, no weather effects, no DLC (appart form FastHorizon 2 Xbox One is a brilliant game (according to YouTube) but I kept my 360 and bought a PS4. Forza Horizon 2 was a step back from the first. The lack of simulation damage destroys online play and game modes were removed. On the positive side, the A.I. difficulty seems tougher than Forza 3 and 4.

This game is not worth the money in my opinion and I suggest renting it if you do not want to be heartbroken.

Forza Horizon 2 for the Xbox One is an astonishing masterpiece by Playground Games. That cannot be said for the Xbox 360 version, however, because this was developed by SUMO. SUMO is not a bad company but Forza Horizon 2 (X360) isn't as good as the XONE version or even the first game. It lacks unique things like drivatars, seamless multiplayer and even DLC. SUMO can do better than this, surely.

Its not as complete as the XONE version and feels a bit more as a expasion from the first one than a brand new game but it is a good game overall.

O jogo é bom, contando que jogue em um console Xbox One, pois no Xbox 360 deixa muito a desejar graficamente e em outros pontos.

Forza Horizon 2 in Xbox 360 is epic, but has way more downgraded graphics than the Xbox One version. That brings the grade down a lot. Also, most cars are DLC. Still, the customization of the vehicles is still pretty cool.
