This is a very faithful port of the PC version of Doom 2 in all regards. Doom handles very well with an Xbox controller and the controls themselves are fluid and responsive. The original soundtrack is there and all the levels are fully intact, unlike many other Doom console ports out there. The splitscreen was a lot of fun and is great if you have other friends who enjoy Doom
There is a distinct lack of people who play online, surprisingly, and it's rare to get a game with 4 people (the maximum allowable) that doesn't lag. All in all, it's a great port. The trouble is that it costs twice as much as Doom 1 does pointwise, sitting at 800 instead of 400. If you're not a dedicated fan, you're probably better off picking up the first one, which has more online players and the same hectic gameplay

you can clearly see the age but that doesn't mean it's bad. it's alot of fun to play and controls really good. the level design doesn't work that well with the core gameplay though but that's my only complaint.

This is the followup to the of FPS's. It's the same game, but different weapons and monsters. My only gripe is how long the campaigns go on, it gets tedious for me. Other than that, definitely worth your time.

Now had this been free on XBLA I would've got it without hesitation, but still only five bucks, so might as well get a taste of ID's 1990s master piece. The levels are big and open ended, it's challenging and engaging but it hasn't exactly aged well in terms of graphics but still, the console controls are well implemented and i'll continue to play this until I can get my hands on Doom 4Now had this been free on XBLA I would've got it without hesitation, but still only five bucks, so might as well get a taste of ID's 1990s master piece. Имею ввиду масштабный аддон-модификацию Brutal Doom, отличный экшн.

  1. Doom II is just a nostalgia fix. As charming as the experience can be, it’s just very dated.
  2. It's always fun to see Doom II again, but it doesn't make the big splash that it did seventeen years ago
  3. The question is, does this make Doom 2 worth your hard earned? At 800 points, this really depends on how nostalgic you feel.
