Played this game when it came with Doom 3. Very challenging and rewarding game just like the first one.

As the original Doom it is dated but still awesome a new weapon from Doom and all the classic weapons as well co-op and multiplayer with split-screen and xbox live and a brand new episode Doom II:No Rest For The Living which is fun but not as fun as the original game but still good and achievements as well. All for only 400 MSP

These days Doom ][ would be considered more of a DLC/expansion pack product than a standalone sequel so it's hard to review it in a vacuum. My main complaint it is that this game is RIDICULOUSLY hard. I've logged probably thousands of hours in this game and since it came out 20 years ago and I'm still astounded at how difficult some of these levels are. But like it's predecessor this game holds up quite well and is well suited to the XBL platform. A couple of years after this game came out I remember feeling this weird feeling of "gosh I've wasted so much of my life playing this gross game". If only I knew how more years I would spend playing this game! Expand

Without a doubt, you can find a better way to spend 10$. The game should of been 240 points, at the most. 10$ for a game over 10 years old, classic or not, is just unacceptable.

This is a very faithful port of the PC version of Doom 2 in all regards. Doom handles very well with an Xbox controller and the controls themselves are fluid and responsive. The original soundtrack is there and all the levels are fully intact, unlike many other Doom console ports out there. It's definitely worth it if you're looking to get back into Doom, but only if you enjoy the singleplayer or 2-4 player splitscreen. The splitscreen was a lot of fun and is great if you have other friends who enjoy Doom
There is a distinct lack of people who play online, surprisingly, and it's rare to get a game with 4 people (the maximum allowable) that doesn't lag. All in all, it's a great port. The trouble is that it costs twice as much as Doom 1 does pointwise, sitting at 800 instead of 400. If you're not a dedicated fan, you're probably better off picking up the first one, which has more online players and the same hectic gameplay

you can clearly see the age but that doesn't mean it's bad. it's alot of fun to play and controls really good. the level design doesn't work that well with the core gameplay though but that's my only complaint.

This is the followup to the of FPS's. It's the same game, but different weapons and monsters. My only gripe is how long the campaigns go on, it gets tedious for me. Other than that, definitely worth your time.

Now had this been free on XBLA I would've got it without hesitation, but still only five bucks, so might as well get a taste of ID's 1990s master piece. The levels are big and open ended, it's challenging and engaging but it hasn't exactly aged well in terms of graphics but still, the console controls are well implemented and i'll continue to play this until I can get my hands on Doom 4Now had this been free on XBLA I would've got it without hesitation, but still only five bucks, so might as well get a taste of ID's 1990s master piece. just like the other doom port to xbla and the bfg edition, they yet again just slapped the dos version with no improvements at all, with the music at half speed and no auto sprint

its a first person shooter classic and doom 1,2 and 64 where very big inspirations for games nowadays for example:titan fall and other games.just like its predecessor it succeeded and its a nostalgic throw back for old school gamer s and a good taste for new generation players to get a classic to play

Pretty much Doom 1 great Gameplay and musik level design gets a bit weirder in the later games almost like the developers are trolling those who want to 100% every level. But still an amazing game with new Demons wich quickly became very iconic and the best weapon in gaming history wich became even coler in 2016 and eternal

Um verdadeiro clássico pode ter envelhecido mal os gráficos mas a diversão continua a mesma.

  1. Doom II is just a nostalgia fix. As charming as the experience can be, it’s just very dated.
  2. It's always fun to see Doom II again, but it doesn't make the big splash that it did seventeen years ago
  3. The question is, does this make Doom 2 worth your hard earned? At 800 points, this really depends on how nostalgic you feel.
