Overall this is a typical XBLA porting of a great game; easily identifiable, playable and most of all enjoyable.

The port's biggest hurdle of overcoming the lack of mouse support seems to be handled pretty well. It doesn't reinvent the wheel when it comes to Diner Dash, but the gameplay is so addictive and fun that it doesn't really need to.

For a downloadable game Diner Dash is just right, but you can feel the DS roots here as it seems it would be easier if you could just touch the screen.

Despite being able to play this game for free on alternative platforms, it's well worthy of the 800 MSPs asked – definitely one to check out.

The game’s poorly ported control scheme makes the rich flavor of the original game taste more like day-old leftovers instead of a gourmet gaming treat.

It makes good sense as a PC downloadable, where the interface and audience align, but here? Not so much.

What makes for a perfect casual PC game doesn't necessarily translate well to the living room. This is a six-year old game that millions of people have already played, so it's not the most exciting XBLA release. The visuals are also pretty bland and the controls can be finicky.
