DX:HR Directors Cut is a worth a purchase if you haven't experienced the initial game along with the Missing Link DLC. The game is practically the same albeit some improved textures, better boss battles and tougher NPC's dotted around the various environments.

It is a shame that the original Human Revolution wasn't this polished but the Directors Cut doesn't really warrant a purchase

It is a shame that the original Human Revolution wasn't this polished but the Directors Cut doesn't really warrant a purchase with so many titles coming out over the next few weeks. It's still a two year old title and the DLC is barely a few hours of extra content.

The game is still very good even today but even back then; it felt marginally dated with some woeful AI and lousy combat. Those issues are still present today which is a shame despite other improvements as mentioned above. The story is interesting as is the characters but even to this day; the original Deus Ex from 13 years ago is streets ahead.

Eidos Montreal have done a decent job taking on such a massive title with high expectations but the DX community would appreciate Deus Ex 4 rather than improved rehashes that could be improved in a patch without a pricetag.

This game is more justified on the WiiU with the second screen but Xbox users who have completed Human Revolution should look to the future.

Even with the second-screen setbacks and the wonky in-game commentary, the Director's Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution is still the best version of the game.

Two years after its initial release, Deus Ex: Human Revolution remains a superb experience and an achievement in storytelling and gameplay.

On the 360 the uses of Smartglass are minimal, but pretty cool nonetheless, allowing you to use your phone or tablet to perform the Hacking minigame or manage your skills and inventory. It’s very cool, and certainly feels very “digital age”, but it’s not much quicker or easier than using the controller.
