Nov 8, 2010what a pity..everything about the game is promising. but it's broken up by a subpar combat system. comparison with GoW was inevitable and on combat alone it was just nowhere as brutal and nowhere as fluid. Entertaining while it lasted but would not recommend it to anyone.

MichaelWFeb 10, 2010Needed a bit more polish. Small things like flat lighting & color pallet, lack of alternate weapons, and poor difficulty scaling prevent me from getting really into the game. The story is fine, the cut scenes are nice, and the basic combat is enjoyable (though not as tight as one might expect from a high budget action game). Worth playing once.

Nov 29, 2011It was ok. Its entertaing for a bit but it gets rather old and repetitive pretty quickly. Unoriginal combat system. Outstanding voice acting though and it makes the cut scenes seem like its a mini-animated film within the game. The potential is there.

Apr 20, 2015Dante's inferno is not the most graphically impressive game ever made but it has good controls average story and the puzzles in this game can be annoying and halt progress for a few minutes to a few hours but overall its a polished hack and slash game

Apr 25, 2021We are 2021, I had always wanted to play this game, I played it on xbox series x, it entertained me, it is fun, but in the end it collapses for an endgame that did not conclude as it should.

The accomplished combat and surprisingly decent adaptation of the story make Dante's Inferno a fine diversion while you wait for the next button-masher... One based in a different set of mythology.
-
Another major annoyance is the save system. You can only save at designated statues, and there are only two or three per level.
-
All in all, it was a fun trip though hell, even with one circle being lackluster and the game feeling rather short, I still have no issues or moral objections to recommending Dante's Inferno for fans of this genre.
