The graphics hold up not well at all and there isn't much of a story at all, but it's good for hours upon hours of mindless destruction.

Does this game still in the Alpha version? It felt like that when I was trying to play it back then. It's such a mess.

This game is freaking sick! I love the open world, different islands and parts of the city to go to. Tons of exploration. Online co op, sick.... and to top it all off it has some nice free DLC and the game is freaking cheap, awesome deal. Me and my gf are loving this game online right now. so awesome.

Horrible! Just plain God awful! Controls are bad, driving is worse and it makes the Law Enforcement community look like a joke. I don't care how many positive reviews it got by critics, these reviewers are paid by an evil corporation to give them a good review. I do not like how the game plays. Thank God it was free in the Microsoft store. They even offered the DLCs for free, but I did notHorrible! Just plain God awful! But the worst thing is... there's a sequel! I'll play that next and probably trash that too. Expand

Simplemente una joyita, con una trama que captura tu atención poco después de empezar el juego. El Mejor Juego Sandbox de Xbox y de los últimos años.

If you´r looking for a GTA or Saint´s Row alternative, you should definitely check out the first Crackdown. The action is over the top, the missions are entertaining and you can spend dozens of hours in the streets of the beautiful designed city!

This game is very repetitive, you must to do the same thing, once, and once and once, and the gameplay and the history is not awesome

One of the most influential games of its generation, Crackdown set itself apart from Grand Theft Auto by giving you complete control over the game world and overall experience.
The main thing that this game has going for it is the skill system, which allows you to evolve your core abilities overtime. As you play further into the game your character will become stronger and faster, become more skilled with driving, and using firearms and explosives. This mechanic provides a good sense of progression throughout, and incentivizes you to experiment which each skillset to see which ones suit best for the job.
Crackdown has a very intriguing art style which draws heavily influence from comic book illustrations or possibly even Saturday night cartoons. Beyond that, it also provides a great sense of scope when you climb a tall skyscraper and look out on the city horizon - this game had some really impressive draw distances for its time.
The soundtrack of Crackdown, while substandard, provides a surprisingly good atmosphere for the game's tone and setting. I found very few tracks to be memorable, but there are some that have stuck with me - no doubt due to nostalgia.
The only valid complaints I could give this game is that it's a bit short and doesn't offer much post-game content when you've done everything else. The game may also be viewed as repetitive as the majority of the game is spent eliminating gang bosses. Regardless, I still enjoy Crackdown and it has become one of my guilty pleasure games of the past few years - I'll often find myself coming back to this one every few months or so. If you own an Xbox 360, or have any interest in open-world sandboxes, then Crackdown might be the game for you.

Probably one of the most fun open world games when it comes to movement as jumping from building to building to get agility orbs was so addictive. This game was an absolute blast to play as a teen. Scaling massive cities, obliterating bad guys, tossing cars across the city - this game had just enough pizazz to keep me engaged through the main storyline and beyond.

My ONLY issue with this game is that there are collectibles throughout the world (I believe 300 to be exact), that I spent hours and hours trying to complete for the "Orb Hunter" achievement. I was stuck at 299. I eventually looked up a map of all orb locations - went to every single location on the map, but was never able to find the last one due to what I believe, was a glitch.

Nonetheless one of the best 360 games ever produced.

I usually dont like these kind of games, but the progression system in this one made it super addictive.

  1. I’ll admit I was hooked for the first five hours, but as the game waned on, so did the entertainment of the game.

Halo fans will be happy to hear this game also comes with an invitation to the Halo 3 multiplayer beta.
  3. A wonderful sandbox title that branches off from the "GTA" tree rather than feeding off it; when you set off a huge chain reaction of barrels, you’ll see the game "Saints Row" wished it was. When you climb to the top of the Agency HQ and peer down at the world, you’ll see the game "Just Cause" could never be. And every so often, you’ll see another moment of brilliance; a reminder of the game you want GTA IV to be.
