All of the people giving this game good ratings are either delusional or have the worst taste in games ever. This game was a complete repetitive slog through generic environments, horrible teammate A.I., and a boring story. At about the halfway point, you're stuck in a hallway with one type of enemy coming from up the stairs followed by one coming from the left, and after killing both this repeats itself, I kid you not, for 20 full minutes. I assumed either there was a spawn point to cross or I hit a bug, but no, all the walkthroughs mention this point. This is just one example of the atrocious time-wasting garbage this game is, and it's where I called it quits. Expand

Hey Clive did you ever see a game by the name of Fear? Now thats scary! Also note that Scripted button tapping is just plain stupid in any game.

I really don't know where everyone is getting this "great graphics!" nonsense from.... Jericho doesn't look as good as some titles on the original Xbox. Regardless, the real problem with this game is bad gameplay. The "leap from squad member to squad member" gameplay that didn't work for Brute Force or the first Ghost Recon (or any other game for that matter) is even worse I really don't know where everyone is getting this "great graphics!" nonsense from.... If you are resorting to playing this game then you are just simply way too desperate for FPS's (there are no less than 15 better FPS games on the 360) and should seek mental help. Expand

The story is ridiculous, it seems like a rip off of Doom 3, its too dark, your team is useless, there is no horror aspect, just teenage violence. THE LEVEL DESIGN IS ATROCIOUS, I have to admit, this was the killing blow in the game, ridiculously tight linear arenas with samey enemies and your team are immature as hell. A totally boring FPS that really does not belong in the modern age. Had it come out 10 years earlier, it might have been forgivable. On the positive it does have some decent visuals and the concept behind it is perhaps its only saving grace. Had it not been for Clive Barker's name attached I doubt it would have gotten any recognition at all. Overall: It's crap.

  1. Clive Barker’s Jericho doesn’t provide the same degree of deep and engaging gameplay as Undying, opting instead for a more accessible, mainstream adventure that can be frightening at best, and repetitive at worst. Still, the game has no shortage of action and intensity.
  2. Not nasty enough and not scary at all. [Dec 2007, p.92]

Remember this kids, Clive Barker Mercury Steam and Codemasters have formed together to make what is in my mind one of the best shooters this year.
