Although the graphics are outdated, it is still a game to enjoy. People who play the CoD-games a lot, but never played the first part on the PC, now have the chance to play this first Call of Duty game.

Call of Duty Classic is recommended to all who love the series and they want to know its roots. Good gameplay mechanics and an engaging story make this game still enjoyable in 2009.

-
The old war vet is clearly past its best, but there's still much for younger conscripts to learn here.

Xbox World 360 Magazine UKBrilliant in 2003, Call of Duty is an old man in a young man's world. [Christmas 2009, p.118]
