    It would have been nice if Mad Moxxie lifted the level cap, but it still offers enough mayhem to make it worth the download for any Borderlands player looking for a little mindless killing.

    Borderlands' latest DLC has shown me the combat rhythm I've naturally settled into: the regular back and forth between whittling away at enemies with SMGs before disappearing in a puff of magic, to either slink off and let my shield charge up again, or pop up behind an unfortunate bruiser in order to blast chunks out of their neck with a shotgun.

    This one will seperate the men from the boys, take the phone off the hook, get plenty of drinking water, send the kids out and get ready for hours of some fierce and stressful gaming.

    As many others have stated, this DLC takes probably the most lacking part of Borderlands (i.e. the shooting) and puts it in the spotlight.As many others have stated, this DLC takes probably the most lacking part of Borderlands (i.e. the shooting) and puts it in the spotlight. With no experience or equipment to gain, the core of the game is removed and make Moxxi's an unsatisfying DLC. The arenas add extra length, but they are so boring and repetitive it becomes old fast. Arenas also take around 2-4 hours to complete with no save points, making it a slog to the finish. If you are going to buy the Borderlands DLC, I would skip this one.… Full Review »

    This is the perfect example of how NOT to do DLC, it adds nothing enjoyable and has no real value other than a way to play through a crappyThis is the perfect example of how NOT to do DLC, it adds nothing enjoyable and has no real value other than a way to play through a crappy Horde mode clone with your friends, it gives you three arenas and each one has 5 rounds each consisting of 5 waves and each wave is the same every time you play through them, it does give you a weapon storage bank and a few new achievements, but the bank can only hold 21 guns, and in order to unlock all of the achievements require you to play through each arena twice, and it's longer the second time around, and you don't even get experience for your kills and there isn't any good loot, even if you get 4 friends together you'll still be bored, honestly I really don't recommend this, it's not worth the asking price and even if you buy the GOTY edition of Borderlands I don't really see a reason to download it, so in closing all I can say is pass on this one.… Full Review »

Well, though it's nice for a DLC to put you at test with your most powerful weapons when others quests are way too easy at this point, I'm not sure it's a wise idea to build an entire DLC upon an arena concept. Plus, you are forced to finish the whole arena (5 rounds of 5 waves each) before leaving or you have to star all over.… Full Review »
