Feb 26, 2011Honestly, the question isn't whether you should play Bejeweled or not. It's more of a question of how much you covet the glory of fast-paced simultaneous competition.
-
Feb 23, 2011The Classic and Twist versions of Bejeweled offer quick-hit entertainment and the inclusion of multiplayer modes and online leaderboards is certainly welcome.

Games Master UKApr 1, 2011Soloists may well find this a little shallow to stick with. [May 2011, p.89]

Mar 7, 2011Let's use a food-based analogy: imagine you had only a few minutes for lunch and had to grab a snack. The Facebook version of Bejeweled Blitz would be a Maccas Happy Meal, on the house; whereas Bejeweled Blitz Live would be one of those low carb protein bars in a shiny foil wrapper. Both provide sustenance on the run, but one is meatier and more satisfying than the other… and it's free.

Mar 23, 2011Don't get me wrong, I love Bejeweled Blitz, but it's hard for me to recommend spending $10 on the Xbox Live Arcade version when there's a superior, free version available on Facebook.
-
Feb 26, 2011Ultimately, the biggest issue with Bejeweled Blitz Live is that it simply doesn't have enough meat on its bones. As a free game, it's a wonderful diversion, but at 800 MSP ($10 USD) for a download, it feels a bit thin.
-
Mar 10, 2011An addictive puzzle game which will offer some enjoyable hours. On the downside, the time limit pressure and the fact that it's overpriced may influence your decision on buying it or not.
-
Feb 25, 2011The Bejeweled series returns with a fifth installment, incorporating the series classic gameplay along with the spin-off Bejeweled Twist, also adding local and online multiplayer. While the simple and catchy gameplay offers adequate fun, the lack of depth makes for short and unsatisfying sessions. Multiplayer adds a well-needed boost and in the end makes Bejeweled Blitz LIVE worth your while.

Mar 8, 2011Even with multiplayer modes that are mostly fun and the constant leaderboard competition to be had with friends and strangers online, Blitz is pretty much the same game you can play for cheap (or free) elsewhere, except with a new coat of paint and a heftier price tag.
