  1. For a licensed game, Avatar: The Last Airbender — The Burning Earth turned out to be a pleasant surprise. While it is ultimately bound by some of its limitations, THQ's development team deserves some praise for at least doing a solid job on the product — other than the ludicrous decision that led to the game's achievements listing.

Play for 100% achievements, it was ok right? Nothing to remember. It could've been worse.

When it starts it just teleports you to the scene and stops you mid animation without reseting you( sometimes). This leads to a horribly buggy mess. There are no physics on anything, their mouths don't even move despite the game being fully voice acted, they are stiff as a board with no animation at all and the clothes are always clipping through you. The game has crashed 4 times in the 1 1/2 days i owned it. The combat isnt anything to marvel at but it is decent enough. Gameplay is extremely repetitive, there are no deviations from the original story from the show. There are invisible barriers where there shouldnt be, many accidental softlock locations (for example if you jump into killzone that has an object near it you may infinitely fall into the object and cant even switch characters to get out forcing you to reset), the secrets are an absolute joke, there is 0 replay value. Not to mention this game is EXTREMELY short. I finished it in about 3-4 hours and that was taking my sweet time. 100% it in 6 hours. The only good thing about it are the fully animated cutscenes, they have some if the best facial expressions ive seen on a wii. Other than that, horrible game DO NOT BUY. Get Into The Inferno instead as it is better than both thr last airbender and the burning earth combined (not like that would amount to much anyway). Full Review »
