    Simply amazing, what the first game SHOULD have been like.The only reason It doesn't get a 10 is because of a few little bugs and clipping glitches that dampen your mood, but they only dampen the mood because the game is so amazingly fantastic.     Take the first game, although borrowing ideas still groundbreaking, and multiply it times 10. This game offers a variety form the simple follow this person, do this quest. It also offers you the chance to build up an old rundown area and gain money from it. It's got classic RPG elements and then continues to make the Assassin experience that much better.     Do not buy this game, if you have ANY desire to keep your social life intact. Once inserted into your console, you will not leave your house for days. If the incredible scenery, backed by beautiful graphics, doesn't keep you hooked. The excellent, creative and challenging gameplay will. If you still don't heed my warning; Good luck! You're going to need it.

    This game is simply one of the best I have ever played. From start to finish, it is full of a fresh variety of activities and action. Each mission becomes memorable for their own distinct flavor and style, partially for the way you accomplish your goal, and party for the script that directs the events around you.     I loved the first Assassin's Creed, and was expecting something special from the sequel. I wasn't disappointed. Some amazing improvements have been made, most noticeably the ability to swim, the monetary system, and the various types and styles of weapons that are now available. The game totally resets Assassin's Creed and gives it a complete overhall. The graphics are as I loved the first Assassin's Creed, and was expecting something special from the sequel.     Unlike a lot of people i loved the first game so eagerly i bought this game, if there was any flaws in the last game, they're not there now. The new Italian theme really works and the fact that there are loads of twists and turns in the long and interesting storyline, if you don't like this, please go and seek help from a doctor.

    Great game that takes the framework of AC1, while getting rid of all the tediousness. Add in some gorgeous locations, and an excellent storyline, and this was the one game in my library capable of pulling me away from MW2

    This is the BEST game I have ever played. The plot, the combat system, everything is top notch but what really pushes this game over the edge is the historical and architecural accuracy. I feel like I should have skipped ARCH151 and just played this game, the amount of content is staggering, from the huge variety of classical painting to the many famous churches, palazzos and villas, I This is the BEST game I have ever played.     The gameplay of this game is very enjoyable and the envrioment is just amazing!There are lots of things you can do in this game that differs lot from the orginal game!But,as usual they should have spent more time on animating. I give this game rating 9.

    This was a very good game that I had to play through twice fully before I could think of putting it down. It has a very smooth learning curve too so that even novice players should be able to pick it up right away. My only gripe would be that the "tutorial" section is WAY too long for multiple play throughs. Still, if that's the price I pay for a well written, engrossing story then so be it.

    The game sucks you into its world and never lets go until the final blade and been swung and your vengeance complete. I really enjoyed playing through this game, which has so much to do that you can never really get bored. The fighting mechanics work pretty well, the story has twists and drama that are intriguing and I really loved discovering Renaissance Italy.     I must say that I am completely surprised! I loved the first2 hours of the first one and absolutely loathed the remaining 8 hours. They have truly taken the faults of the 1st and fixed them. I have played this one for 6 hours straight and am cursing the fact that I have a job right now because I can't stop thinking about playing this game. I can't remember the last time a game had me at hello. The story is completely immersive, you get emotionally attached to the characters, and the gameplay is solid. The repetitiveness from the 1st is completely gone and every mission flows perfectly. I absolutely love how they have incorporated the many different mini puzzles with the cool little video clips that you are awarded with by solving the puzzle. Each video clip continues off of the last one to reveal "The truth". Quite addicting and massive. MUST BUY!… Expand

I decided to take a gamble solely off of the reviews it was getting. Boy did it pay off! Jackpot! Just read the reviews of all of the critics and that will sum up beautifully how awesome this game is. I can't I can't believe I am saying this, but this game has my vote for Game of the YEAR!     What is "Meristation" talking about. This is nothing like the first one. It's almost like this is a totally different game with the same skin. People, I am the most critical person when it comes to games. I rarely play anything but sports and racing games. This game rocks. Characters appear from nowhere, shadows flicker and textures pop in. Even running across a vacant field shows a visible line where high res grass meets with the low res version.     This game is not perfect, but it is what we all wanted the first one to be. The environment is absolutely outstanding, with beautiful graphics of Ubisoft's version of Venice. The mixture of Italian and English is incredibly well-done. The mechanics are similar to the first game, but enhanced and polished for a much deeper and more expansive experience. This is what a sequel should be.

    Great game, vast improvement on the first, plenty of things to see and do, buildings to climb and people to kill in amusing manners. I like the combat system, making it more reliant on you adapting to the opponent rather than just employing your assassin techniques. The graphics are great and the story is supported with a great many cut scenes.     * The onboarding of the first two hours is so smooth and well done. Maybe this game w/o an open world would be even a better game.
    * The ending breaking the fourth wall in a sense is mesmerising. First time I saw this trick in videogames.
    * In general, now this game has great side missions. Especially the one with climbing inside the churches. Delicious.
    * The view point has much more diversity now. They get repetitive midway. But first 10 are a blast.
    * The Carnaval!

    Cons:
    * The targets and the assassinations themselves are meh. This game kinda has the Marvel movies problem. All the effort went to good guys.
    * The controls and camera are not tight enough. Even after 20+ hours the race missions feel forced and annoying. Same goes for complex jumps during puzzles. And Venice suffers because of that the most. It's just not fun to run around.
    * Some side missions feel undercooked and bugged. Especially, the ship ones. Both the templar shipyard platforming one and the merchant stealth-kill-on-a-ship one were awful. With NPCs freezing. And controls making me fail and start over again and again and again.
    * Achievement to collect 100 feathers w/o in-game hints. Ubisoft, it's not as bad as 400 flags from AC1, but it's still very-very bad.
    * Why do they need to hide HUD when you enable eagle vision?
    * I played the game on Series X as part of Ezio collection and 4K and time are not kins to this game. You can clearly see how NPCs popup in thin air and the low-res textures on the buildings further away. To some extent this rough edges are even more visible than in AC1 sue to overall better colors and contrast in the game.    … Expand

    This is one of those games nobody can skip, even if they don't like it in the end. With incredible graphics, game-play, story, and soundtrack, this is easily one of the best games I've ever played, and also one of my favorites. It could be considered a classic too.

    Busted controls but otherwise, a great story, best in the franchise. The controllers (like I said before), bad but gameplay was unique until it got overused in the later Assassin Ceed games. This game should have been like this trio of other of trio of Assassin Creed games.

    I really wanted to enjoy this game, I loved it as a child and now that I'm trying to playa adult well it's just say that it felt like I was playing it tutorial for 4 hours and I think the painting in start of the game is awful I mean I like what it's sitting up but it's just so slow. I would say the game kind of legs Focus in the start of the game it just feels like too much padding. Am II really wanted to enjoy this game, I loved it as a child and now that I'm trying to playa adult well it's just say that it felt like I was playing it tutorial for 4 hours and I think the painting in start of the game is awful I mean I like what it's sitting up but it's just so slow.     "Assassin's Creed II" is a huge improvement over its predecessor. Featuring a great story, likeable protagonist and good mission variety, it represents a course correction. This is what the first AC should've been all along. The open-world is amazing and the gameplay is fantastic. I would easily compare it to "Grand Theft Auto III". Players that become bored with the first installment will"Assassin's Creed II" is a huge improvement over its predecessor. La jugabilidad es casi la misma con mejoras, ya se puede nadar en el agua o en los ríos de Italia. La época del renacimiento está bien, el enfrentar a los Medicis, a Sabonarola, a Rodrigo Borgia. Y el conocer a Da Vinci, a Catherina Esforza, ver más de la hermandad es un acierto.El videojuego es mucho mejor que el titulo anterior. Es porque con más presupuesto usaron otro motor gráfico. La jugabilidad es casi la misma con mejoras, ya se puede nadar en el agua o en los ríos de Italia. La época del renacimiento está bien, el enfrentar a los Medicis, a Sabonarola, a Rodrigo Borgia. I mean it gets boring sometimes - especially in the end - but it's also really satisfacting to look at all of these finishers.     Absolutely amazing and by far the best in the series. The story of ezio's vengeance against the killers of his father and brothers was narrated beautifully and the soundtrack was perfect for the setting and the stealth and combat style were ahead of it's time .This game deserve the appreciation it got.

    Me pillé la Xbox 360 por este juego y solo por este aunque luego viniesen más.
    Me quedé fascinado con la ambientación de la Italia de aquella época,sabía que este juego había pegado fuerte pero nunca me imaginé que llegaría a tanto y mucho menos a gustarme por que era reticente a jugar a este tipo de juegos y este me eliminó prejuicios.

    I am a big Assassin's Creed fan, and I gotta say that this game is honestly the best game that I've ever played. God, I love this game. I've finished it more than 200 times. I swear to God. It did not bore me, or disappoint me even once.

    In assassin's creed 2 you play as ezio auditore which is a great character that you will most likely fall in love with while playing this game. It has an amazing story that will keep you invested from start to finnish. The diffrent cities are beautiful and have diffrent soundtracks witch makes each and every place fun to roam around and explore in. Ac 2 is worth your time so play it. :)

Voila ce qu'un deuxième épisode d'une saga doit être, un nouvelle assassin (Ezio Auditore qui est aujourd'hui un personnage culte), une nouvelle époque( le 15 eme siècle en Italie, plus précisément a florence puis a Venise), la suite de l'histoire dans le présent qui se distille petit a petit.

    parlons d'Ezio, qui est l'opposé de ce qu’était Altair, ce nouvelle assassin n'en est pas un dès le début et a tendance a s'attiré des ennuis du a ces frasques avec la gente féminine et a tendance a prendre tout a la rigolade. les événements qui se produiront par la suite vont complètement changé le personnage (la mort de son père et de ses frères) vont l'obligé a agir et c'est suite a ce drame qu'il découvrira que son père était un assassin, s'ensuit une quêté de revanche face au templier qui aboutira a un combat a Rome (ce qui nous tease le prochain épisode).

    les villes ont chacun leur identité malgré ce gris qu'on peut ressentir de temps en temps (Venise est tout simplement somptueux), les missions sont très diversifié ( les missions de Da Vinci, la mission pendant le bal de Venise) les antagoniste sont intéressant (les Pazzi sont plutôt cool, Rodrigo Borgia qui dirige tout cela d'une main de maître) et bien sur le gameplay qui a évolué, nous pouvons maintenant recruté des dame de joie, des voleurs et des bandits pour nous aidé tout au long du jeu moyennant quelques florins, on peut bousculé les passants lorsqu'on veut se frayer un chemin a travers la foule, l'acquisition d'un pistolet, les assassinats exécutables par le haut , par les bottes de foin et même suspendus a un balcon.

    on peut également rafistolé notre villa a Monteriggioni et acheté des échoppes qui nous permettrons de bénéficié de réductions sur les armes et armures (qui sont aussi une nouveauté du jeu )

    tout cela pour dire que ce deuxième Assassin Creed a corrigé la plupart des défaut du 1 et reste aujourd'hui comme l'un des meilleurs épisode de la série pour moi!!    … Expand

    Still my favorite AC to date. One of the best stories in gaming. Ezio's growth as an assassin also translates over to his growth as a person and you see it as the story progesses. Gameplay is outdated but at release it was leaps ahead of the original. Even now in 2020 I highly recommend this game.

    This game rescues the essence of your predecessor, improving the system of battle that was a poor point of AC and giving us the great Ezio, that really embraces the serie.
    A weaky side is the same error that was in the game of Altaïr: side quests that increases nothing to the plot and were too boring.

    - There is a large improvement in graphics from AC1.

    - The kingdom is a lot more open compared to AC1.

    - "The Truth" gives the game a very deep mystery. It is a great way of motivating gamers to complete the game(s) in order to know more about the plot.

    - Supporting characters throughout the game are very interesting and humorous. They all possess unique personalities.

    - The incentive and story behind each mission is more exciting and less boring than AC1.

    - The story.

    Cons:

    - At times when the game needs you to get through obstacles fast either chasing after someone or doing a time trial, Ezio does not jump exactly where you want him. The place you want to jump to needs to be positioned precisely.

    I loved the perfect design, the brilliant rendition of the historical epoch and the beauty of Italian cities. I had been to Florence and Venice myself, and I had a déjà vu when walking in some places in game.
    The often tedious gameplay is well offset by a great plot and art. Anyone should play this before proceeding to the latest games of the series.

    This game is really good. A far cry better than the first game. In-fact I want to give it a 9 or a 10 but a few things keep me from that. But let's start with positives.

    Here are the negatives that kept me from scoring it higher.

    - the movement though better still can be janky and have mission ruining consequences. Really frustrating in key moments.

    - the enemy AI will go from really dumb to game breakingly hard.

    - the modern narrative just is not interesting to me.

    - the remastered version adds in sequence 12-13 which were originally cut content, but were added in as DLC later, and are included as part of the base game in the collected remastered version of the game. These two sequences break the pacing of the narrative, are a slog, are confusing, and feel irrelevant. The missions in it are long and frustrating (a nine person assassination mission across an entire map, I kid you not). These additional sequences put the game's momentum to a halt. Ubisoft, next time just leave cut content cut.    … Expand

    The first Assassin's Creed's charm was in the sumptuous graphics and straightforward action - that incredible climbing and free-running, and the visceral thrill of stapling evil people to the dirt with a wristblade. With AC2 the rest of the game has caught up with the brilliance of those central ideas to create a complete and coherent experience.     Assassin's Creed 2 is miles away form the first chapter. It's a whole new game, different in many aspects. The main quest is involving and nice to play, and the number of side mission and extra activities is impressive (and all of them are fun to play). The setting is peculiar and unique, and the panoramic views are sharp and, somehow, magic.

    Assassin's Creed II delivers a great story driven experience. Solving most of the problems of its predecessor, this accomplished sequel offers compelling action, beautiful environments and a great plethora of well written characters. A must have for every action-adventure fan with a taste for history, and one of the best games of this fall.
