Overall, I really enjoyed my time with Viral Survival. As mentioned, they do a good job of keeping the gameplay mixed up between modes and making it addictive enough to keep you coming back and wanting to play more.
-
Viral Survival is pure arcade score attack action. What you put into it is what you get out. If that's not your thing, that's not your thing. However, I believe there's just enough depth and variety to hook someone looking for quick bursts of fun. It's challenging, addictive, and just plain ol' dandy.
-
Viral Survival does pretty much exactly what you would expect from a high score game on WiiWare, but refreshingly the games are actually kind of fun.
-
Wi-Fi Connection support for uploading high scores to leaderboards rounds the package out, and it's all on sale for the Wii Shop's most reasonable rate -- five bucks. Not too bad, all around.
-
Feb 18, 2011Despite its throwaway appearance, Viral Survival is probably the only WiiWare game released so far this year that warrants a second glance. That's not saying much, admittedly, but if you've got 500 points knocking about, you could do a lot worse.

Nintendo GamerApr 23, 2011As a throwaway arcade game this is mildly entertaining, and nicely priced. [Apr 2011, p.78]
