Simply the best game ever made mixing a fantastic story, music and art direction but most of all for a game grat gameplay that immerses you in the game world proper which few games do.

I had just got to the end of Gears of War (I usually only play 1 game at a time), but I thought I would play 10 minutes of Zelda just to see how the controls were. After 10 minutes I was totally captivated. I guess it is going to be a long, long time before I get back to Gears of War.

I have loved Zelda my entire life. I've been keeping a close eye on this one for quite some time, observing and watching it as it developed. And, after finally getting my hands on it, i can only say two words: freaking amazing. Twilight Princess is, simply put, genre-smashing and one of the greatest, if not the greatest, game in history....period. Get it.....now.

Cons: midi sample music, no voice overs, blurry textures, annoying remote noises, sometimes feels a little gimicky, often predicable, seen most of it before. Pros: Flawless art direction, flawless gameplay, amazing storyline, although the music is midi its still the most beautiful and best written music in any game (or film) ever. To anyone who wanted a sequel or follow up to Ocarina, here is your game. While not perfect, it certainly is a lot of fun. I took a point off because of the use of MIDI (as opposed to an orchestrated soudntrack), a few annoyances like hearing that tingle everytime you move the Wiimote, filler (is it really necessary that I have to find some lady's cat so I can progress in the game?) The art direction and story are perhaps the best the series has seen yet. Expand

Great Game... But has everyone forgot that this game looks almost nowhere near what we were promised when this game was first announced for gamecube with a beautiful video. I like the new zelda, but I want nintendo to work harder, so I don't feel so bad about buying their last two systems only to have a handful of games to play. THE game Zelda fans have been waiting for since ocarina of time. Wind Waker was an excellent game that showed of an unbelievable cell shaded world full of emotions and great dramatic storytelling, but I still longed for the more mature and gritty feel of the wolrd in Ocarina of Time, and now Nintendo have gone and created it. This is not merely a game...it is a work of ART, the dramatic storytelling, new immersive medium of control throught the Wii, and of course it is part of The Legend of Zelda franchise that has always been top notch quality. With every new zelda game coming out, you can expect that it would set the bar of quality for the industry higher for which other adventure/rpg games and games in general would be compared to and this is no different. I do not want to go into spoilers, but simply put, Nintendo has outdone itselft with a lengthy title that is impossible to put down as you play through the wii *pun intended* hours of the night. Absolutely Stunning! It rivals the gameplay of Ocarina of Time and in my opinion, it is much harder. Everyone will have a great time playing this game. This is definitely 2006 Game of the Year

It's pretty much what everyone has been waiting for since the Ocarina of Time. Albeit being a GameCube port, the graphics could certainly look better on the Wii, but the gameplay, the story, the huge amount of replay value is rivaled by no other game to date.

An excellent addition (and homage to "Ocarina") to the franchise, and you'll have an enormous amount of fun playing it from start to finish. Get over the fact that the Wii's hardware is simply not as powerful as the other next-gen machines and get into the fact that Twilight Princess is one of the best games you'll play this year.
  2. It truly is, in my opinion, the best and longest Zelda ever made. With nearly 70 hours of playtime committed and more still to do, I cant think of a better experience or value this holiday season.

Truly fantastic. It's not a reinvention of the genre like Ocarina was -- but it's much better, because it takes all its predecessors' raw ideas, perfects them, and creates an experience that's at once new and familiar. It's rare to find a launch game that truly justifies the purchase of a new console, but this is precisely that.
