Overall, this is still a decent representation of Texas Hold ‘em. Digital Leisure did a good job of making sure the mechanics worked properly, and in that regard the game works wonderfully.

Nintendo GamerOnline play with rankings tables and Mii support is the big draw (no pun intended) here. [June 2009, p.73]

It's a playable but basic version of Hold 'em, but the graphics make the game hard to take seriously. If you require nothing more than an online poker game, this'll do. But those that look for art, style, or personality in their games will need to look elsewhere.

Texas Hold’em Tournament plays a good game of poker and is quite entertaining, but at the end of the day it’s a safe conversion of the card game without adding much, if any, innovation where it is perhaps much needed. The online multiplayer is a nice inclusion but when all is weighed up it just isn’t different enough from playing against the dull AI characters to be worth much in the long run.
