    Man this game is great. It may be easier than the 3d mario games before it but it's more fun and somewhat challenging rather than frustraiting and unfair *cough cough sunshine* If you want to 100% it then it would be really hard but it gets somewhat challenging towards the end of the game while the earlier levels are just fun with little challenge which may not appeal to some people.Man this game is great. It also doesn't have to open ended levels that the previous games have but for me mario was kind of meant to be linear. I also want to say that the levels are inventive. The developers put in their best efforts in the galaxy games in my opinion rather than even games like mario odyssey. However there are a few things I don't like about the game. It has a bad spring power up, it also lets the second player troll the first player and it doesn't help that there's not much to do as player 2. While I thought the final battle was good, I felt like it was a bit of a repeat of the other bowser battles but then again it was like that in 64 as well. Lastly I used to hate the song that plays when you go to roselina's library but now I like it. It's ok to cry.… Expand

    It still stands up to this day in my opinion. The game is phenomenal. This game is enjoyable for anyone of any age and still stands up today against modern Mario titles like Super Mario Odyssey. And a lot of new people have played the game recently from the release of Super Mario 3D All Stars last year making the game accessible on modern hardware being the Switch.

    Super Mario Galaxy is literally the definition of perfection. Both Galaxy and Galaxy 2 are the cream of the crop in terms of the greatest games ever made. It's the perfect blend of action, adventure, tear-dropping moments and gorgeousness. Even for a Wii game in 2007, this game still looks better than a lot of games today. Not a single moment in the game felt unfair. The difficulty is fairSuper Mario Galaxy is literally the definition of perfection. The story is your typical Mario "oh no! the princess was captured by evil turtle man, now italian plumber must save her (but it's in space this time)" story, but everything else is just glorious. The gameplay, the music (Jesus the music is so good, not a single track is bad imo) and the levels, design concepts and enemies are incredibly creative. Also, once you've collected all 120 power stars, you get to play as Luigi! However, once you get 120 power stars, you get to play as Luigi, and you have to play the whole game over again, with no differences except for Luigi's higher jump and less stable movement (the no new missions thing was fixed in the sequel). But the game was so good I didn't really mind. There are Prankster Comets that come by and change the gameplay of a level, for example, if a Prankster Comet lands on a level, you could have to collect a bunch of purple coins in that level, or have a race with a clone of yourself (I loved these). The ending is heartwarming, and a little sad, too. Just the best game ever, If God had a favorite game, it might be Super Mario Galaxy, It's that good, man, just play it. 10/10, such a damn good game.… Expand

    The game takes an old approach: like in Mario 64, starting in a tutorial-like area, and then letting the player choose the level and the objective he wants to accomplish, and like Mario 64, there is no need to complete all of them.
    What is new    Like Super Mario 64 did, Super Mario Galaxy has defined (yet again) 3D movements in open space, adding a twist to the already perfect formula.
    The game takes an old approach: like in Mario 64, starting in a tutorial-like area, and then letting the player choose the level and the objective he wants to accomplish, and like Mario 64, there is no need to complete all of them.
    What is new though is the level design. Each level is built around the concept of gravity. The first level, for example, has a small world that can be circumnavigated in a few seconds, and to advance to the next part, we need to jump high enough to get attracted to the gravity of the very next world.
    The entire game is built around this concept and how to manipulate it to your advantage, which makes it very fun to experiment new ways to complete a level, often leading the player in finding secrets.
    Mario also has different new power-ups like the ice flower, which let Mario walk on water ad freeze enemies; or the bee mushroom, which let him fly for a brief period and lean on flowers.
    The songs of Super Mario Galaxy are incredible, not only do they fit every level, but are performed by an entire orchestra, making them a blessing for your ears.
    The boss fight is quite the show. The player will face giant foes generated by baby bowser to stop him. Each one of them is different, but all of them are entertaining.
    Super Mario Galaxy has demonstrated that there are yet so many ideas left off videogames, and it reminded us what having fun really is.

    One of the goats. This game is legendary. The platforming is perfect, the creativity unmatched, the fun unrivaled, the universe is beautiful. Mario’s power ups are ridiculous and addicting to play around with. This game is a master piece. If I had to give a flaw it’s the Wii controls but that’s the consoles fault. If you can play it on switch I’d recommend that!

    I consider this game to be Mario's Magnum Opus. Phenomenal soundtrack, the gameplay is the most fun I ever had fun in a Mario game. It's a damn near flawless game.

    Mario Galaxy es precioso, muy divertido, y no hace nada mal. Sin embargo no siento que sea la mejor obra de plataformas que exista en los videojuegos como la mayoría dice. El juego es buenísimo, pero simplemente no llega, en mi opinión, a niveles de perfección. La jugabilidad es muy buena, pero realmente es simple. Los niveles están muy bien diseñados y nunca se sienten repetitivos, peroMario Galaxy es precioso, muy divertido, y no hace nada mal.     This game is peak Nintendo. There really isn't anything bad to say about this game. It's fun, soundtrack is amazing, graphics are good (especially for the Wii). There are a couple levels in the game that can be pretty annoying, but that's just a minor flaw. My childhood right here.

    The best aspect of this game is the platforming jungle from start to finish. There's so much variety, from the power-ups to the worlds to the biomes to the difficulty to the mechanics... there's just so much to do and it makes an amazing experience.     The best aspect of this game is the platforming jungle from start to finish. There's so much variety, from the power-ups to the worlds to the biomes to the difficulty to the mechanics... there's just so much to do and it makes an amazing experience.

    The other best aspect of the game is the magical vibe, with every world you explore giving a different vibe than the next. The emotion you feel is different and the music you get can either make you feel lonely but in awe, or it can leave you dancing along with penguins in a random snow mission.

    The only tiny gripe I have with this game is the lack of movement options there are compared to the rest of the Mario series. But the game is still fun, the game is still wondrous, and the game is still one of the best games ever released.    … Expand

While I appreciate the developers attempt at creating a diverse world, I find that the lack of consistency in theming detracts from the immersion, causing the world to feel un-relatable and “video gamey” to a fault. Additionally, while the idea behind having an all orchestral soundtrack is neat, the music in many instances falls flat or feels out of place which is uncharacteristic for Nintendo games. In my opinion the Galaxy series has some of the most forgettable music amongst prolific Nintendo games from their era. As a whole Super Mario galaxy succeeds at being a simple 3D Mario game that appeals to a general audience. However, it fails to bring many of the most successful core features that had defined the series thus far, let alone innovate on them. While I think Super Mario Galaxy has its place, I hope that it is the only time Nintendo deviates from the direction the series had previously been in with 64 and Sunshine, and gone back to with Super Mario Odyssey.… Expand

    Do I even need to say why this game is fantastic? The level design is phenomenal the power ups are executed like a dream! The music is the best I've ever heard in a video game! Mario controls beautifully, if this isn't the best game of all time I don't know what is. If you haven't played it yet I am lost for words just go play it it is SO goddamn good.

    This, IMO is the greatest game of all time! Every single galaxy is unique and fun, the music is incredible, and flying from galaxy to galaxy is an incredible feeling. Nothing will surpass this game IMO.

    This game has not aged at all. The game play is still fantastic and the graphics still look great. I am a musician so I pay very close attention too soundtracks in games and movies, and this game has a amazing soundtrack. Banger game. I highly recommend to any one who plays games.

    This is the best Mario game and one of my top 10 games of all time. I used to play it as a child and recently i found my dirty wii so i said “why not?”. This game is magic, even after playing it a couple of times. And the soundtrack, man the spundthack is amazing. This game is gorgeous, even after almost 15 years. 10/10 had a lot of fun playing it

    This is my favorite game of all time, the graphics are beautiful, the music makes you feel like you're in the same planet as Mario and the camera, although sometimes works a little bit weird, is great. But even with that makes the game a high score, the level design and the story are amazing, an the fact that you can play with Luigi, please check it out if you haven't play it before.

    My First Wii Game of all Time, and for me the Best Mario Adventure of all Time. All the Galaxies are absolutely Awesome in every Aspect and the fun factor is very big at the same Time. And that's not all that makes the game great, it also tells a story that is extremely sad and made me shed a tear. I still hope that FINALLY the third Game will come, which will blow me and all of us away.

    The graphics and gameplay have hardly aged. The wonderful and wacky worlds you explore are amazing and the level design is very imaginative.

    Great variety in level design, great for all ages. I found it nice when playing this game as a child that I didn't have to get every single star. I could skip a planet if it proved too difficult for my fetus mind.

    Tout d'abord le point qui m'a le plus marqué à l'époque l'univers et les boss. Quand tu arrives pour la première fois dans l'observatoire j'étais, et je le suis toujours, émerveillé. Et en rentrant dans la première galaxie planète œuf le jeu révèle toute sa    Ce jeu est un excellent jeu pour tout type de joueurs. Ce jeu a marqué mon enfance avec son univers à la fois jovial et mélancolique.
    Tout d'abord le point qui m'a le plus marqué à l'époque l'univers et les boss. Quand tu arrives pour la première fois dans l'observatoire j'étais, et je le suis toujours, émerveillé. Et en rentrant dans la première galaxie planète œuf le jeu révèle toute sa force, son univers. Le sentiment d'espace est très plaisant et bluffant, jusqu'à arriver au premier boss qui est originale. Pour moi le jeu atteint son paroxysme dans la galaxie poussière d'étoile qui est pour moi la meilleure galaxie du jeu avec son sentiment d'immensité et d'infini qui apporte une forme de mélancolie appuyé par la musique magistrale de ce niveau ce qui va m'emmener sur la deuxième force du jeu ses musiques.
    Les musiques dans ce jeu sont pour moi les meilleures musiques des jeux Mario. J'ai parlé précédemment de la musique de poussière d'étoile mais il y en a tant d'autre comme la musique de l'écran d'accueil, ou la musique de planètes oeufs. Ces musiques renforcent les sentiments de grandeur et d'immensité de ce jeu.
    Je voudrais m'attarder vite fait sur un autre plan crucial du jeu les boss. Pour moi ces boss sont les meilleures de tous les jeu Mario confondu (excepté les Browser), j'ai une préférence pour Poulpoboss et les Bowser junior.
    Pour conclure, Mario Galaxie est pour moi un des meilleurs jeu de tous les temps par son univers incroyable. J'ai une préférence pour le premier opus car il est pour moi plus magistrale que le deuxième. Bref Nintendo faite une suite s'il vous plait.    … Expand

    Este Mario me gustó especialmente porque disfruté los mandos de la Wii (a pesar de que en el resto de juegos los detesto). Está muy logrado el tema de las gravedades y cómo lo aprovecharon para crear esa recopilación de mundos.

    El diseño de niveles es fantástico.
    La jugabilidad se siente muy bien, y la mecánica del giro me gusta mucho.
    La historia de Estela (Rosaline) es de lo más bonito.
    El ambiente espacial se siente mágico y melancólico.

    Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are some of the best videogames EVER. No Mario game can be compared to this. The mechanics, level design, characters and fun factor make these two of the best Wii games one can experience.

The presentation is stellar as well, especially for the wii. The levels are all mostly incredible. But im a bit disappointed by the fact that some galaxies are barely explored, or are really shallow.     I watched my dad play this as a kid and played it as a kid, played it again when I was a teen and played it just earlier this year. One of the most charming and memorable video games I have ever played with it's phenomenal music, satisfying objectives, and universal enjoyability.

    One of the best platforms ever created and my favourite Mario saga.
    The levels are incredible and the 3D platforming is taken to the next level with the use of gravity, seeing Mario floating between little planets is just amazing and so much fun!
    The only bad thing that i can say about this game is that the camera sometimes can be pretty frustrating to deal with.

The trial galaxies are fun but are over quickly and the purple coins are painstakingly annoying to get. The atmosphere and soundtrack are incredible but there are many instances of stars that just do not feel gratifying to collect because of how easy they are. I understand the team needed to do this to appeal to the casual audience of the Wii but for me the difficulty of the sequel was much better done.… Expand

    Nintendo has made a big jump of quality with this game. Locations are various, and enemies too, but transformations are repetitive and too much limited about actions that you can do with them. The second part of the adventure, is really boring and disappointing, ruining the expierence and making more difficult to make the 100%
