Official Nintendo Magazine UKIt could do with a little bit more depth but it's simple, it's great fun and it's good value for money. [July 2008, p.93]
-
Pop delivers on its promise of providing a bubble-popping game for the Wii, and it somehow turns the premise into an unexpectedly satisfying experience.
-
Developer Nnooo has certainly balanced the title well and while it's unlikely to withstand prolonged play, it offers enough depth and enjoyment to keep you coming back for short bursts.
-
Although it has slim pickings, Pop's enjoyable for a little while. With that said, repeatedly pressing A gets old real quick, and after a while, the thought of being number one in the world loses its luster.
-
Games Master UKNot particularly exciting, but a compulsive score-attack timewaster. [Oct 2008, p.84]
-
At a lesser cost, Pop's lack of real depth would be far less of an issue, but $7 just feels too steep for something that can be simulated with a 50 cent can of bubble stuff from the local toy store.
-
There's certainly enough here for a game, even if it's really simplistic and overly repetitive, but you can't be expected to pay a high amount for such a basic design.
-
Pop does offer mild entertainment, but I found that it only kept me occupied for a few minutes before I grew bored. Even with up to 4 players, it’s only so long before you are ready to move on to another game or find something else to do.
-
Nintendo GamerThe relaxing way to shoot things. [Aug 2008, p.74]
-
n-Revolution Magazine UKA fun gimmick, but it does wear thin quickly and you won't come back for more once you've had your fill. [Issue#26, p.70]
-
For 700 Wii Points, Pop is overpriced.
-
Get past the "popping bubbles?" incredulity and the game does offer a decent amount of depth and no-frills gameplay, but I can't quite bring myself to see it as 700 Points' worth of fun.
-
Though Pop can be fun in short bursts, it isn't worth 700 Wii points ($7).
